training or seminar)

I. Rationale
It is recognized that true and meaningful development will only be attained if
gender concerns are integrated into all levels of developmental process. In this
regard the National Government has mandated all government agencies to
integrate GAD concerns into their plans, programs, projects and office activities.

In the school setting, it was observed that the teachers have less
involvement/participation in school activities concerning GAD issues and
concerns. By this, awareness of the organization on various, concepts,
advocacies, policies, gender mainstreaming and gender sensitive issues focusing
in mental health must be realized through a 2-day training workshop.

II. Program Objectives

The activity aims to achieve the following objectives:
a. To increase level of awareness and understanding of PPSMES
Teachers on GAD mandates, issues and concerns
b. To increase awareness in promoting gender equality in work place and
in the community
c. To promote awareness on mental health issues in the work place and
how to resolve them
d. To be adept on the current issues concerning GAD
