each are taken. The observation made are given below:

If the standard deviation of the dimension is 0.280 plot the X chart.

(a) Determine the control limits for P chart and state whether the process is in control.
(b) If the point that goes outside the control limits is analysed and eliminated what
will be the value of new control limits and revised fraction defectives ?

P2. Following is the record for successive lots of part being produced by a plastic
molding press. As each lot is come off the line a random sample of 150 pieces were
inspected (Result are expressed to the nearest 0.1%) calculate (P Bar) control limits and
plot control chart and comment.

P3. The following data shows number of defective in inspection of 10 lots of 100 sample
size each for a connecting rod. Determine the control limits. And the revision made in
case the chart is out of limits.
