2.2 Company Overview

“The Cake Spot” is a small retail business that will offer and provide new flavored and tasty

cakes. Currently, we are targeting to open a cake shop in Imus, Cavite to start to offer our

delicious cake. In addition to that we are dedicated to hiring professional bakers and ensuring our

product quality. We are looking to open a small shop in the meantime until our cakes are

renowned and after a few years, we are hoping to expand our shop and make branches in another

part of the Philippines.

2.3 Company Background

“The Cake Spot” was founded in 2023, the business is derived from the dreams of young

aspirants who wanted to provide people with a new flavor of cake. “The Cake Spot” started from

nothing, accepting small offers until they brought themselves up into the bigger market.

The Cake Spot humbly begins conservatively by offering sweet cakes for special occasions,

whether a birthday celebration, wedding, anniversary, or any other dedicated event.

Its products are available for everyone who wants to add joy and bring their special

Section 3: Market Analysis and Competition

3.1 Competitors

Cake and Pastries are commonly present in every celebration and when we celebrate, we

are always looking for a quality cake that has quality taste and ingredients. When it comes to

cake, the first thing that will come to mind is Red Ribbon, Goldilocks, or Conti’s. but these cake

shops only cater ready-to-go cakes, and usually, the design is almost identical, and the flavor

itself is just limited. The focus of our business is to cater to the consumer’s suggestions.
3.2 Product and Target Market

“The Cake Spot” is a business that offers a variety of cake items for people who want to

bring their occasions or celebrations differently. Our product will be available for individuals and

families, Special events and Caterers, Restaurants and Cafes, Online Marketplace, and catering to

those people with special dietary needs.

3.3 Distribution Channel

Events

Farmers' markets, local vendor fairs, and even holiday extravaganzas are excellent places

to sell your goods to the crowds that gather there. These events are excellent for launching new

items, gauging public interest, and promoting products you know will sell. To generate more

attention in your booth, we can offer samples and business cards to onlookers.

E-commerce

Online baking has grown into a significant industry in recent years. Creating an online

store to complement our store can considerably boost earnings and possibly create a completely

new business model. As long as it is delivered fresh and excellent, it is perfectly doable to start

selling your product locally or even nationally. Nothing compares to leaving home yet being able

to enjoy a small piece of heaven from your hometown's favorite bakery.

Produce Physical Store

Larger items like cakes and fine-baked delicacies are ideal for Produce Physical Stores.

This is the perfect location for our cake shop menu items because the cake shop commonly
results in a store that normally has a taste for fresh cuisine.

3.4 Promotion and Advertising

Promotion and advertising will take over on potential media platforms such as:

• Choose the right niche.

• Place Google and social media ads.

• Launch an email newsletter.

• Attending food and pastry events and conventions.

• Reach out to potential customers directly.

• Get referrals.

• Make connections on social media.

• Partner with famous vloggers

• Start a blog.

Media sites will use advertising to distribute the message more quickly.

3.5 Pricing Policy

We will use the Cost-Plus Pricing technique, in which we will add a markup to our

overall prices after determining all the expenses involved in creating our cake. Ingredients,

packaging, labor, overhead costs (rent, utilities), and any other expenditures particular to your

business are all included. We also consider both direct and indirect costs. Following that, we

decide on the profit margin we want to accomplish based on our company objectives, market

positioning, and industry standards. We consider aspects like investment, skill, and the amount of

demand in our target market.
