How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:
☐ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the student and mostly
practice based.

☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic of
learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The teacher facilitates
the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☒ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems and completing projects to
demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared outside of the classroom.

the beginning to get their attention and get their brains going. I will then give them opportunity to
ask questions. After answering questions, I will assign a small book and they will work with a partner
to answer the questions after reading the book. After I feel as if they have learned enough
information, that is when I will send some students down to the library to work on their audio
speech of 30 seconds.
Managing student learning: The methods utilized in this class, in my opinion, will cause students'
behavior to change, turning them from passive to active social learners. Students will actively
participate in projects and concepts while learning to listen to others and respect their points of
view. Students will be gathering information from the introduction video with the opportunity to ask
questions and they’re also working in pairs to answer questions about the book.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Reflection: Be sure to mention one specific UDL principle you
are focused on in this lesson – Multiple Means of Engagement, Multiple Means of Representation,
or Multiple Means of Action & Expression.
All students are supported by the major educational activity I have designed for them as well as the
technological tool. This lesson meets the engagement requirements of the UDL framework because
it includes a variety of activities that gets the students engaged and active. The creation of an audio
tape to demonstrate comprehension after engaging in several activities and expressing their
creativity will interest students in their learning, which increases engagement.
Reflection: The most important for me is making sure the kids understand the history that is being
taught and it is also very important for them to understand how audio clips can engage their
learning and make it fun.
