How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

☐ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the student and mostly
practice based.

☒ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic of
learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The teacher facilitates
the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☐ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems and completing projects to
demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared outside of the classroom.
(Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing
it via an outside source.)

2 students will take turns asking the other students pretending questions about their life and
accomplishments. Students will be introduced to the topic and made aware of their goal after they
listen to the podcast I have created. Students with the help of the teacher will create the podcast
using an iPad and a microphone. I will conclude this lesson by playing all the podcasts created by the
students in class and then discussing them with the students. I will also be giving them example
interview questions for them to look at.
Managing student learning:
Students will move from passive to active learners because they will be creative by creating their own podcast
with their partners. I will give students 25 minutes to come up with interview questions together and then I
will have them submit their interview questions to me to review before they are allowed to create their
podcast.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Reflection:
Spotify for Podcasters will help with multiple means of action and expression because students will
first come up with interview questions. Then they will use Spotify to create an audio assignment that
will have a transcript along with it so people can also read what is being said.
Reflection: This new tool to create future projects. I will be looking forward to helping to students
record their podcast.
