Credentials, such as degrees, certifications, and licenses, can be important in getting a job because they
demonstrate to potential employers that a candidate has acquired a certain level of knowledge and skills
in a particular field. Employers often use credentials as a way to screen and filter job applicants, especially
in highly specialized fields where specific technical knowledge and expertise are required.
In some professions, having certain credentials is legally required to practice, such as a medical license
for doctors or a bar certification for lawyers. In other fields, while not legally required, having certain
credentials may be highly preferred by employers.
