VAN DEVENTER-MAAS INDONESIA
Van Deventer-Maas Indonesia is a scholarship funded
by a private foundation that has a mission to support
the education of young talented indonesian students.
The foundation was established in 1947, pursuant to
the last provision and the " will" of Mrs. Elizabeth
Maas, the widow of Mr. Coen Van Deventer.
In 1979 Van Deventer-Maas Stichting merged with
Tjandi Stichting (founded in 1913) and Van Deventer
Stichting (founded in 1917), thereby absorting the
kartini foundation, which had been founded in 1913.
On September 12th, 2017 the representative office in
Indonesia was formally established to be Yayasan Van
Deventer-Maas Indonesia (YVDMI).
The Couple, Coen Van Deventer and Elizabeth Maas,
have dedicated their whole wealth for the personal
development of the young indonesians. One of given
supports is scholarship for young talented indonesian
students, mostly for those came from underprivileged
family.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
1. Students of D3/D4/S1
2. Maximum 27 years old
3. Financially deprived (stated in SKTM (Surat
Keterangan Tidak Mampu) and/or
Recommendation Letter of Financial Condition
Issued by the University
4. IPK ≥ 3.00 in the previous semester
5. Disciplines : Accounting, Agriculture,

PERIOD
1. Students can apply the scholarship from the first
year (2nd semester)
2. Scholarship will be awarded for the standart
duration of the study :
D3 : 2nd - 6th Semester
D4/S1 : 2nd - 8th Semester
BENEFITS
1. IDR 750.000,- that will be transferred directly to
Grantees Bank Account every month
2. Exam bonus

1. Surat Keterangan Tidak Mampu or Recommendation
2. Letter from University which stated that the
applicants come from underprivileged families
3. The latest academic transcript with IPK ( ≥ 3.00 )
4. Parents Income Statement from their institution or
office (at least the last 2 months). For Parents who
work as entrepreneurs, Statement Letter can be made,
signed and sealed with Rp 10.000,- meterai and
legalized by Kelurahan
5. Copies of ID (KTM and KTP)
6. Copy of Family Card (KK)
7. Photo 4x6
8. Electricity Bill (at least the last 2 months)
9. Copy of Bank Account (front page which consisted
the account holder number and name)
10. Essay about yourself (about family, study and social
activity); Why VDMI has to choose you to be one of
Grantees; What is the advantage for you if you were
chosen as Grantee; What will you do for the society
after you received the scholarship.

University should send the documents above to Van
Deventer-Maas Office in Yogyakarta to be selected.
Agreement will be provided beetwen the foundation
and University Partners as well as beetwen University
Partners and Students to be signed and approval.
