MELCs: Types of Media
Objectives:
1. Cite practical situation when to apply knowledge in intellectual property, copy right, and fair use
guidelines
2. Create a campaign add to combat digital divide, addiction and bullying

6:30-7:30 Wake-up, make-up your bed, eat breakfast and get ready for an awesome day!

7:30-8:00
Have a short exercise/meditation/bonding with family.
8:00-5:00 A. Preliminaries/Introduction
1. Pretest
The students will answer a 10-item multiple choice question
2. Review
The students will give one word that they remember about the last lesson
and they will expound it.
B. Presentation of the new lesson:

Concept Mapping
This time, we will read an excerpt from an article, “The Implications of Social
Media in the Philippines” by Bea Grace Pascual.
2. Activity B,
Sketch Noting
DIRECTIONS: Draw a visual presentation on the influence of media in the
society.
There is a rubric that will guide students and teachers for the evaluation. Do
your output in a short bond paper. You may also do your output in your
computer if you have.
3. Activity C.
DIRECTIONS: Identify the personalities below and answer the questions asked.
Write your answer on bondpaper.

DIRECTIONS: Read and reflect on the topic “Industrial Revolution 4 and
Education 4.0”. Present your reflection using your preferred type of media
(print, broadcast, online). Print media shall be in editorial content. Broadcast
media may choose either TV or Radio and will be in commentary
format.Online media may choose livestreaming, or webinar.

D. Generalization
✓ The evolution of the type of media has drastically taken over the
world from print, to broadcast radio and television and now online media.
✓ Print media is a paper publication. It can be in the form of books,
newspapers, journals, magazines, newsletters.
✓ Broadcast media describes the traditional forms of media that
include television and radio.

✓ Broadcast media commonly come in two forms: radio and
television broadcasting.
✓ Radio broadcasting is a one-way sound broadcasting service,
transmitted over a radio wave.
✓ Television broadcasting is a medium use to transmitting moving
images in monochrome or color.
✓ Online media is a medium which use internet to send information.
✓ Content is the idea that is delivered to the audiences, in a form of
images still and moving, audio, documents and files.
E. Reflection:
Different types of media nowadays provide so much help to every person, especially those who
live with the use of media. With the use of those types of media, we can make impossible things
happen. Life became comfortable, and things get easy to access. But let us remember that the
media we are using nowadays has always been an advantage in our life. Sometimes, those media
can harm our mental health. Makes us dependent on those media and forget our sense as a
human. Sometimes, we experience being dishonest because of using different media. Example,
by commenting on negatives in someone's post then hiding our identity or even deceiving other
people with the use of different media.
ASSESSMENT (Post Test)
The students will answer a 15-item multiple choice question.
Enrichment Activities
DIRECTIONS: Read and reflect on the topic “Industrial Revolution 4 and Education 4.0”.

MODE OF DELIVERY

A school personnel will drop the modules at specific drop off points which were previously identified.
Parents/Guardians will have to pick up/return the Modules at the drop off points and this will be facilitated
by a designated community volunteer partner.
