How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

☐ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the student and mostly
practice based.

☒ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic of
learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The teacher facilitates
the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☒ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems and completing projects to
demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared outside of the classroom.

I plan to implement this lesson into a classroom because the use of this software will be an
incredible step into the world that is the digital age now. I will start this lesson out by having the
students listen to a podcast I created about a topic I find interesting. Then they will have time to
themselves to research a topic that interests them so they can then create their own podcast for
their classmates to listen to, so they can learn more about their classmates. At the end when
everyone has listened to everyone’s podcast, each student will have to write about one of their
classmates and discuss what the learned about them.
Managing student learning: Yes, I believe this lesson with the tools provided will cause a shift in the
behavior of the students and that they are becoming active learners when it comes to the technological
aspect of education. This will occur because of what this lesson is providing, not only access to a whole new
world but also allowing students to create their own ways of learning and it allows them to figure out how
they learn best. Students must create a detailed plan about how they are going to tackle this new software
and as they go through the learning, they can change the plan to fit their needs.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Reflection: Multiple Means of Representation, is the UDL I
believe fits the best with this lesson. That is because the students are finding a new way to express
themselves and represent themselves that others wouldn’t normally think of doing.
Reflection: I feel as though this lesson is incredibly helpful to continue the shaping of young minds
and to keep their interest in new things at an all-time high. This will keep serving them well after
they are done with elementary school, this gives them the tools to thrive.
