Statement of Purpose:

Dear Admissions Committee,

I am Hina Mustafa from Pakistan. I have done MBA in Finance from PMAS Arid Agriculture
University Rawalpindi and currently working as a Lecturer of Commerce at a well-reputed
state-owned college named Government Graduate College for Women, Mohanpura. I have
been associated with the education field since I graduated back in 2012. I want to do Doctor
of Business Administration course because it perfectly aligns with my career plans. Doing
DBA course from Hertfordshire Business School will help me in my personal and academic
development.
With my educational background and work experience, I strongly believe that I am a suitable
candidate for the program. Since I was young, I have always had a keen interest in Business
Studies. I began to subscribe to the periodicals dealing with current business events since
middle school. At the university, I focused more on the research aspects of Business and took
some elective courses in Business Research Methods, Financial Modelling & Risk Analysis,
Econometrics, Data Analysis and Decision Making, etc. Through my BBA and MBA
program, I not only made a systematic study of principles of business finance but also learned
the statistical methods to analyse the financial position of entities, such as testing hypotheses
of independence, normality, homoscedasticity, regression, etc. My dissertation was “Impact
of Interest Rates & Exchange Rates on Banking Stock Volatility”. My research results were
accepted provisionally by the relevant department of my university and I was invited to
contribute to the dialogue. Since then, I found my passion in Business generally & Finance
particularly, and I set my professional goal to be a Researcher and Educationist in the field of
Business and Finance. I have been teaching different Business and Finance courses to
different classes at several private and public institutions for more than 13 years.
Now I want to enhance my knowledge and understanding of this field by doing DBA from
HBS. This program will equip me with the advanced knowledge and research skills necessary
to make meaningful contributions to the business and finance field. I have chosen the
University of Hertfordshire as my first choice because of the valuable scholarly resources and
well-known reputation of the highly qualified faculty.
Upon completing my DBA Program, my immediate post-study plan is to secure a position as
a faculty member at a reputable university. I aspire to become a dedicated researcher and
educator, imparting knowledge and inspiring future generations of business and finance
professionals. Additionally, I plan to collaborate with industry partners and contribute to the
advancement of business and finance practices through research and consultancy projects.
In conclusion, I am genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to pursue a DBA course at
University of Hertfordshire. University’s reputation, strong faculty, and comprehensive
curriculum make it the perfect institution for me to realize my academic and professional
goals. I am confident that the program's content aligns perfectly with my career plans, and I
eagerly anticipate the chance to contribute to the field of business and finance through
rigorous research and impactful teaching.
