INSTITUTIONALIZING SMEA (SCHOOL MONITORING, EVALUATION AND ADJUSTMENT) To : All Teachers

1. Relative to to DepEd Order No. 42, s.2010, also known as Creation of the Quality
Management Teams (QTMs), and DepEd Order No.44 s.2010 as Adoptation of KRT 3: Quality
Assurance and Accountability Framework in Institutionalization of Qulaity Management system in
DepEd, this office shall institutionalize the School Monitoring, Evalutaion and Adjustment.

2. The school shall be implementing the SMEA-an outcome-drive, evidence-based, utilization

focused and participatory process of doing monitoring and evaluation at the school level. This
will provide the school and stakeholders with real-time data and information about learner’s
status, and immediately check the efficacy of school programs, projects and activities.

3. In this regard, signed Quarterly SMEA Reort shall be submitted by the School Monitoring
and Evaluation Team (SMET) to the School Head for consolidation and review. It is expected
that the committee will prepare the necessary reports and documentation of activities for
submission to this office.

4. School Head will then submit the consolidated report to the District Office. Below is the
schedule of submission.

II. Narrative Report/ Executive Summary

The SMEA Team and Grade Leaders of Arsenio SantosMemorial

Elementary School successfully conducted the SMEA Conference together with the school

Officer In Charge, Maricel R. Salazar held on January 16, 2023 at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon

at the ASMES Conference Room.

The purposes of M&E in the school are the following:

a. Provide information for school management to determine and adjust approaches and

strategies that will ensure adequacy, equitable distribution, accessibility, and effective and

optimal use of the resources of the school.

b. Establish information as basis for determining appropriate approach to improve

teaching-learning competencies of teachers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of

instructions, classroom management, and their personal growth and professional

Familiarize teachers with the new harmonized SMEA template.

c. Provide valid, reliable, and accurate data in decision-making to continuously

improve the delivery of school services under the new normal in education.

Our OIC clearly explained the importance of SMEA in monitoring and evaluating

learning outcomes at the school level. He also reiterated that this system provides

information as to the performance of the teachers in terms of the delivery of basic

education services as well as adherence to DepEd polices.

At the end of the conference 100% of the objectives shall have been

accomplished with 100% effectiveness, that teachers have been capacitated with

the knowledge, techniques, and methods of SMEA.
