BRIGADA ESKWELA IN NEW NORMAL

S.Y. 2020-2021
The Department of Education (DepEd) conducted the 2020 Brigada Eskwela w i t h
t h e t h e m e , Pagpapanati li ng Bayanihan Tungo sa K a l i d a d n a
E d u k a s y o n p a r a s a K a b a t a a n . T h i s y e a r ’ s B r i g a d a Eskwela was
deviated from the traditional concept of physical cleaning, painti ng, and
doing minor repairs in schools and instead prioritized preparations and
strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that quality basic
educati on will conti nue despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.
In light of the COVID-19 situation, this year’s Brigada Eskwela were r e
c o n fi g u r e d t o f u l l y a s s i s t t h e p r e p a r a ti o n s f o r t h e n e w n o r m a l in
e d u c a ti o n . T h e p r o g r a m w e r e e n c o u r a g e d e n g a g e m e n t s w i t h
t h e academic community to ensure that the learning delivery modalities
will be implemented effectively.
A s w e c o n ti n u e t o c o n f r o n t t h e i s s u e s b r o u g h t a b o u t b y t h e
pandemic, the Makataktak Elementary School responds and commits in
ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the learners, teachers .
Makataktak Elementary School with the leadership of the dynamic school head,
Mr. Agustin C. Bacudo Jr. has initiated the implementation of the new normal in
this year’s Brigada Eskwela 2020 together with the collaborative efforts of the
teachers.
Teachers were advised to have skeleton workforce and were equally divided to
report to school to perform their duties and responsibilities. We released cards,
retrieved books, had the enrolment proper, established partnership with external
and Local Government Units (LGU’s), preparation of making modules, contact our
partner barangay or stakeholders to clean our areas.
