IELTS Writing Task 1 - Cách paraphrase đề bài trong Writing Task 1
Paraphrase là một kĩ năng rất hữu dụng và cần thiết, vì ở cả Task 1 và Task 2, bạn cần paraphrase
lại câu mở đầu. Thao tác này đặc biệt dễ ở Task 1 vì khi đọc đầu bài các bạn có thể định hướng
được ngay các phần nhỏ để paraphrase. Về cơ bản, các bước để paraphrase 1 đầu bài Task 1 như
sau:
Chúng ta cùng paraphrase một số đề nhé, ví dụ mình paraphrase lại cái đề bên trên trước:
The chart below shows the amount of money per week spent on fast foods in Britain.
=> The bar graph ILLUSTRATES how much money people in Britain spent per week on 3
different types of fast food.
Mình vừa paraphrase 4 phần như đã nói ở trên, thật là đơn giản phải không nào? Ví dụ:
1) The charts below show the results of a survey of adult education. The first chart shows the
reasons why adults decide to study. The pie chart shows how people think the costs of adult
education should be shared.
=> The bar graph demonstrates 7 different reasons why adults pursue education at their
age.
=> The second chart shows how the surveyees think their education expenses should be
allocated.
2) The table below shows the consumer durables (telephone, refrigerator, etc.) owned in
Britain from 1972 to 1983.

=> The table illustrates the ownership rate of different home appliances in Britain over the
course of 11 years starting from 1972.
Cái này phải giải thích 1 chút. Khi mình đọc cái cụm consumer durables, mình chả hiểu nó là cái gì
cả, chưa thấy bao giờ. Nhưng nhìn vào danh sách thì thấy toàn tủ lạnh, ti vi, máy giặt, etc. nên nó
cũng giống với từhome appliances (đồ gia dụng).
Trong bảng ghi bao nhiêu % hộ gia đình sở hữu từng đồ vật được liệt kê, nên mình đẻ ra
cụm ownership rate (tỉ lệ sở hữu). Nếu kĩ hơn, các bạn có thể viết the changes in ownership
rate, bởi vì cứ bài nào có chu kì thời gian là có sự thay đổi rồi.
