Beams in general

Nails, bolts:
Foreign parts not allowed.
Nailholes allowed.

Transverse cracks:
Cracks across the grain not allowed.

Straight cracks:
Cracks up to a width of 2mm allowed.

Drying and shrinkage cracks:
Allowed if it is not possible to pull the strap
apart.

Saw cuts:
Superficial cuts up to 2mm depth are allowed.

Beam has been cut back -> not allowed.

Lateral breakaways:
Up to a depth of 10mm and a length of
500mm one-sided allowed.

Breakaways angled over the edge:

Maximum of 30mm over the diagonal up to a
length of 500mm allowed.

Connection strap – base:

Strap and base must be fixed closely to each
other. It may not be moveable manually.

Base inside:
Heavily damaged areas not allowed.

Cracks at the base end:

One-sided cracks up to the first borehole of
the beam allowed.
Longer cracks or cracks on both sides are not
allowed.

Beam end

N and P-beams:
End reinforcement must have tight seat.

Damaged areas at strap end up to a length of

6cm allowed.

Damaged areas at the base up to a depth of 2

cm allowed.

Top beam:
Sufficient protection is given as long as the
plastic caps on strap and base still have a tight
seat i.e. they can not be moved by hand.
Bulges larger than 1mm are not allowed.

System drillings:
e.g. System drilling in the plastic cap at the
strap.

Service

e.g. Drillings for lifting eye in the base

Other drillings:
No additional drillings, except the system
drillings, are allowed in the strap.
In the base two additional drillings per running
meter with a maximum diameter of 30mm are
allowed.
