V. Lesson Proper:
A. ACTIVITY:
Session 1: Math Investigate.
Compute the total amount needed to buy all the school supplies that you need.
B. ANALYSIS:
Session 1: Multiplication of decimals.
▪ Do we have to align the decimal? will you think that there is an effect on the answer if we
do not align it?
▪ How are we going to place the decimal point in its proper place?
▪ How do you multiply decimal?
▪ Why is it importance to know the multiplying of a fractions? Give some examples of
real-life situation.
C. ABSTRACTION
Session 1: Multiplication of decimals.
▪ Multiply the decimal numbers, align first the decimal numbers being multiplied on the
right. You do not need to align the decimal points. Then multiply the number in the same
way that you multiply whole numbers. Count the total number of decimal places of the
decimal number being multiplied. The number of decimal places in the product should be
the same number as the total number of decimal places of the decimal number multiplied.
Galamay, D. (2018).
D. APPLICATION
▪ Cite a real-life situation illustrating multiplying of decimal numbers.
▪ Make a concept map in getting the multiplying of decimal numbers.
▪ Solve problem involving multiplying of decimal numbers
E. CLOSURE
3-2-1: 3 things they learned, 2 things they have a question about, 1 thing
they want the instructor to know
