Learning Targets
✓ I can read the sight word “I”. We
talked a lot about how Ii can be a letter
AND a word!
✓ I can write the letters Aa, Tt, Hh, Pp!
✓ I can practice writing my name using an
uppercase letter to begin and the rest
lower case! We are improving!
✓ I can practice spelling all of the colors!
Ask me to sing my color songs! They
are really good at red and blue so far!
✓ I can practice writing my numbers to 5
while also subitizing (recognizing my
numbers to 5 without counting them).
✓ I can practice identifying rhymes and
coming up with rhyming words.
✓ I can be respectful, own my own
behavior, have an attitude that’s
positive, and be responsible! This is
Werner’s ROAR code!
✓ I can follow two and three step
directions! A lot of active listening
going on! They are doing fantastic!
UPCOMING EVENTS
Next week we will learn to read and spell the sight word
“the” and learn to write the letters Nn/Cc. We also continue to
practice learning all letter sounds with our Zoo Phonics song! You can
find it on Youtube! We will also begin Unit 2 in our literacy
program and continue building relationships within our classroom
while learning about different attributes of toys.
In Math we will finish up Topic 1 which works on fluently
subitizing and writing numbers through 5.
