BACKGROUND OF THE BUSINESS

Kain na sinata canteen means persuading people to buy and eat on

our canteen. It came from the tagalog word “sinta” which means love and “kain na”
which means let's eat.
Turon began in communities in the Philippines that were located

near banana trees and crop fields. Turon is usually sold on the roadside. Turon is
one of the most famous Filipino treat made with saba plantains and jackfruit.
Palamig or samalamig is a traditional Filipino sweet-chilled

beverages that usually include jelly-like ingredients. This is popular during summer
and it may come in different flavors.
Fishballs were said to have been invented by Chiu Chow folks. He

resourcefully took parts of fish and mold them into paste then he boiled it and this
creates ball-shaped snacks.
Linaddit is a noodle soup made of homemade noodles. It is very

popular in Aparri, Cagayan.
Kikiam is a sausage-like dish that has a Chinese origin. Kikiam

came from the Chinese word que-kiam for its minced meat and vegetables
components.
Popcorn is a form of maize, not the sweet corn-on-the-cob that

most people think of. It got its name from the sound it makes when it pops.
Graham ball is a combination of crushed graham ball formed into

circle. This product is gaining a lot of popularity recently.

INTRODUCTION
Kain na Sinta Canteen is a business that will probably attract the

consumers. The members picked that name for their business because they want to
persuade their customers to buy their delicious products. Kain na Sinta Canteen not only

wants to provide food for their costumers, but also to let the consumers feel that their products
are more than just an ordinary products.
Kain na Sinta have different varieties of food that they will offer to their
lovely customers. The members came up with the question, what are the main products
that consumers buy when they buy food in the canteen? The members had observed that
they most likely buy a food that have a crispy texture and delicious both inside and
outside. Example of this food is the turon, popcorn, kwek-kwek, kikiam, and
linaddit. In terms of dessert, Kain na Sinta Canteen will offer consumers graham balls
because everybody loves graham as a dessert. They will also sell palamig so the costumers
will be refreshed especially we are living in a country with hot temperature.
Kain na Sinta will sell their products in order to give appreciation to their skills
and knowledge in cooking and managing a business. Kain na Sinta Canteen crew have
skills in cooking, so they came up with a plan to put their skills together and experience
in cooking to come up with a business that will provide delicious foods for their future
buyers.
The members are also very practical in choosing different ingredients

that will be used for their products. Kain na Sinta Canteen aims to sell their products to their
costumers with a friendly budget or so-called “abot kayang halaga” in tagalog.
The objective of Kain na Sinta Canteen is to give the best quality of food
to their consumers, so that they won't be disappointed. The customers are their main
priority in this business. The young entrepreneurs want to make their business
successful and also reach their goal in making high quality products.

To those talented and cheerful students of Aparri West National

High School. Kain na Sinta Canteen will officially launch on December 10 and there
will be a lot of products that you won't find in other canteens.
The demand of these products are very high especially to the

students who likes crispy texture, lower grades and also our beloved
teachers. These products will also boost your energy to finish the activities that
you need to accomplish.

MARKET PLAN
Kain na Sinta Canteen will sell their products on December

10 and 11 during the Intramurals of Aparri West National Highschool.
The entrepreneurs will make and design their booth with

bamboo, coconut leaves, and nipa. The Booth will look like a bahay kubo. The
tables and chairs that will be used will be provided by the other members.
The materials and ingredients needed will be provided by the entrepreneurs
and they will work as one to sell their products.
The entrepreneurs will sell the turon 3 pesos each, palamig for
5 pesos, popcorn for 5 pesos, linaddit for 10 pesos, kwek-kwek is 3 pieces
for 5 pesos, fishball is 7 pieces for 5 pesos, kikiam is 3 pieces for 5 pesos,
and graham ball for 5 pesos each.

The target of the entrepreneurs is to sell all the products and

make a high income. The entrepreneurs will make sure that the customers
will enjoy delicious products.

Through this activity, the members will develop their confidence

and ability to bring a business idea to fruition and enables us with the
knowledge we need.It also provides us with a wide variety of life skills from
things like understanding how to solve complex problems learning how to be
self motivated. And the most important benefits of this activity is that it will
expands our perspective and helps us to become more inclusive and able to
recognize a wider range of opportunities and experience.
