Calculate IOD for the year ending 31st Dec ,2018 if inte rest is to be charged at 6% p.a.
11. A and B are partners in a firm. They share profits in the ratio of 3:2. As per their partnership
agreement, IOD is to be charged @ 10% p.a. A’s drawings during the year were Rs 40,000 and
B’s draws Rs 2,500 per month during the year. Calculate IOD of both partners.
12. Hari withdrew Rs 20,000 in 2018. The partnership provides for charging the IOD @ 12%.
Calculate interest on Hari’s drawings for the year ending 31st DEC ,2018.
13. Calculate IOD @ 10% p.a for the year ending 31st March,2018 of Manan, a partner, in each of
the following cases:
a. If Manan withdrew Rs 3000 per month in the beginning of each month.
b. If he withdrew Rs 4,000 per month in the middle of each month.
c. If he withdrew Rs 5,000 per month at the end of each month.
14. Manik and Rajesh are partners in a firm. During the year ended 31st Dec ,2018. Manik
withdrew Rs 4,000 p.m. in the first six months only in the beginning of each month, while
Rajesh withdrew Rs 3,000 p.m. in the last 6 months in the beginning of each month. Compute
IOD @12% p.a for both the parties.
15. Ali, Bimal and Deepak are partners in a firm. On 1st April ,2019 their Capital account stood at
Rs 4,00,000, Rs 3,00,000 and Rs 2,00,000 respectively. They shared profits and Losse s in the
proportion of 5:3:2. Partners are entitled to IOC @ 10% p.a and salary to Bimal and Deepak@
Rs 2,000 per month and Rs 3,000 per quarter respectively as per the provisions of the
partnership deed. Bimal’s share of profit (excluding IOC but includin g salary) is guaranteed at
a minimum of Rs 50,000 p. a. Any deficiency arising on that account shall be met by Deepak

16. Jay, Vijay and karan were partners of an architect firm sharing profits in the ratio of capitals
as on 1st April, 2019, which were: Jay Rs 10,00,000; Vijay Rs 10,00,000 and Karan Rs 5,00,
000.Their partnership deed provided the following:
a. A monthly salary of Rs 15,000 each to Jay and Vijay.
b. Karan was guaranteed a profit of Rs 5,00,000 and Jay guaranteed that he will earn an
annual fee of Rs 2,00, 000.Any deficiency arising because of guarantee to Karan will be borne
by Jay and Vijay in 3:2.
During the year ended 31st March ,2020 Jay earned fees of RS 1,75,000 and the profits of the
firm amounted to Rs 15,00,000. Prepare Profit and Loss Appropriation account and the Capital
account of Jay, Vijay and Karan for the year ended 31st March ,2020.
17. P and Q are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 2:1 with capitals Rs 1,00,000 and
Rs 80,000 respectively. The interest on capital has been provided to them @ 8% instead of
10%. In the rectifying adjustment entry, Q will be:
a) Debited by Rs 400 b) Credited by Rs 400
c) Debited by Rs 1600 d) Credited by Rs 1600.
18. Ram, Akbar and Robert are partners in a firm. Their capital amounted Rs. 3,00,000,
Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 1,50,000 respectively on 1st April, 2018.As per the provision of
the deed:
(a) Robert is allowed salary of Rs. 3,000 p.m.
(b) Interest @ 5% p.a. on capital is provided
(c) Profits were to be shared in 2:2:1 ratio.
Net Profits of Rs. 1,80,000 for the year ended 31 March, 2019 was distributed equally without
considering the above provisions of deed.
Pass necessary Journal Entries to rectify the above errors.
19. Sumit, Mohit and Rohit are partners in a firm with capital of Rs. 3,00,000, Rs. 2,00,000 and
Rs. 1,00,000 respectively on April 1, 2018. As per the provision of deed:
(i) Sumit was to be allowed a remuneration of Rs. 14,000 per ann um.
(ii) Interest @ 6% p.a. was to be provided on capital.
(iii) Guarantee to Rohit, minimum profit of Rs. 18,000.
(iv) Profits were to be distributed in the ratio of 2:2:1.
Ignoring the above terms net profits of firm Rs. 1,50,000 for the year en ded
March 31, 2019 was distributed among partners equally.
Pass the adjustment journal entry to rectify the above errors.
20. Read the following information carefully and answer the questions that follow:
X and Y are partners sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2. Their capital balances as on
1st April 2020 amounting to Rs 2,00,000 each. On 1st February, 2021, X contributed an
additional capital of Rs 1,00,000. Following are the terms of deed:

b) Interest on drawings @ 8% per annum
c) Salary to X Rs 1500 per month
d) Commission to Y @10% on net profit after charging interest on capital, salary and
his commission.
Drawings of the partners were Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively during the year.
Net profit earned by the firm was Rs 2,08,000.
