Home Room Parent-Teacher Meeting/

First Quarter Recognition Day
November 14, 2022

For the school to function effectively for the student’s welfare, it is important for both
teachers and parents/guardians to come together. This is well achieved by the Home Room
Parent-Teacher Association (HRPTA) in the school.
The HRPTA meeting for First Quarter was held last November 14, 2022. The meeting
began through the singing of the national anthem followed by an opening prayer. To figure out if
the attendees were complete, attendance was made by a roll call. For the teacher to give in the
attendees the clear outline of what will happen in the meeting, the agenda was mentioned.
The first agenda was about Kamustuhan. The class adviser mentioned the attendance of
the pupils and their performance in school and the teacher explains how the grades be computed
every subject.
The second agenda was the schedule of classes and safety precautions conducted at the
school such as the proper wearing of face shields and face masks inside the school.
Based on the DepEd Order No. 167 s. 2021 which stating the interim guidelines on giving of
awards and recognition in light of the basic education learning continuity plan, a grade-level award
that is given to learners from Kinder and Grade 1 who have attained a general average of at least
90 and a passing final grade in all learning areas. This award will cover the following categories:
With Highest Honors (May Pinakamataas na Karangalan), With High Honors (May Mataas na
Karangalan), and With Honors (May Karangalan), is the only award that shall be given. Awards
that are entail demonstrations in-person and collaborative performance possible only for face-to-
face learning are all suspended. Such awards include the following: Classroom Awards
(Performance Awards for Kindergarten, Conduct Awards, Recognition for Perfect Attendance);
Grade-Level Awards (Leadership Award, Award for Outstanding Performance in Specific
Disciplines, Award for Work Immersion, Award for Research or Innovation, Award of Club or
organization Achievement); and Special Recognition.
Student’s positive behavior towards learning is essential because it enable them to engage
in learning, make good academic progress and sustain good relationships with their teachers and
peers. Establishing the student’s learning behavior for learning would help them make smoother
transitions, employment and even their adult life. It is best that the parents/guardians also have
clear outline and guidance from teachers about their children’s work. Addition to that, the class
adviser said that if there are questions regarding their children’s learning, they can ask the
teachers for attention.
At the continuation of the meeting, the class adviser discussed how the students were
graded. The adviser added that communication between the teacher and the parents/guardians is
important for them to be updated on the situation, progress, and challenges that may be
encountered. The class adviser also shared the weight of distribution of the summative and
quarterly assessment components per learning area. If there are queries about their children’s
grades on their report cards, feel free to contact the teacher to discuss it.

The class adviser also shared the other activities that took place at the school such as
handing out school supplies through donations to selected students of the school and the feeding
program. The class adviser provided the schedule of issuance of report cards. She said that if
possible, follow the exact day at time, avoid tearing and return it neatly to the teacher on the
scheduled return date. The class adviser gives them time to ask queries in announcements or
clarifications. The teacher again thanked the attendees and if anyone remembers to ask more
questions can contact through text or Facebook Messenger. At the end of the meeting everyone
offered a closing prayer.
