I. INTRODUCTION

The country experienced the pancedmic calle Covid-19 that destructs the earth one
year ago.

In response to the government and DepEd’s Prioritizing of Disaster Risk Reduction


Management in the School System and Implementation of Programs and Projects
Macamot Elementary School designed project KPK (Kahandaan Para sa Kaligtasan).

II. OBJECTIVES

III. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PROJECT

In cooperation with DepED and the local government, Project KPK (Kahandaan Para sa
Kaligtasan) was designed to promote further knowledge and preparedness that will truly
help the community to be ready all the time. Dissemination of information was made
through giving pamphlets to each of the parents. Posters are placed along the corners
of the school and the community. The pupils are encouraged to get involved through
online platforms using google meet, facebook and other social media that is with the
disaster awareness as theme.
IV.PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

There is some usual problem encountered.


- Some of the parents did not take it seriously.
- Some students are not interested.
- Some just have the hand outs and drop it all the while without reading it.
- Some pupils’ reactions about the project goes along with their parents.
- Maybe because they have no internet connection.

V.RECOMMENDATION

For the betterment and improvement of the implementation of project KPK


(Kahandaan Para sa Kaligtasan). Aside from the action of the school disaster
committees in providing orientation and drills on earthquake and typhoon, we may
suggest that the local municipality would agree to have an actual fire drill in our school.
The help of these professionals would give each and everyone of us the real scenario of
what a disaster is.
