This is the definition of SPED individually planned

systematically implemented and carefully evaluated instruction to help exceptional children achieve
the greatest possible self-sufficiency and success in present and future environments and I further
chunked…. I chunked this particular definition para mas understandable siya so that it has more
meaning. These are the key points of that definition ; first, when we say SPED, its individual planned
instruction. Meaning to say, uhm… there for example : I have a child with autism. That child’s uhm…
ah topic or method. The topic maybe the same depende gyud na sa student. The topic maybe the
same but the method ah… the way that you are going to kanang discuss the lesson maybe different
for that child noh? Uhm… according to idea, this is a federal law in the US which we adapt in the
Philippines noh? Individuals with Disability’s Education Act, they require what we call an IEP for
learners noh? who have special needs. So the general education classroom familiar ta sa lesson plan
correct? Have you heard of a lesson plan? I think you have. So in the Philippines.. so in the General
Education classroom, we use a lesson plan and when we say lesson plan, the teacher will create one
lesson plan and its good for the entire class correct? It’s good for… let’s say if there are 30 students
then that lesson plan is for 30 students but when we say IEP, an IEP is individualized from the name
itself Individualized Education Plan or Program. Each child with disability will have one IEP. So again,
lesson plan good for the entire class. IEP is for one child. I am a SPED teacher, if I have 10 children
with disabilities in my class, I will create 10 different IEP’s and I will show you an example of an IEP.
Maka ana gyud mo, mag lesson plan nalang ko because that’s a long document and an IEP is given
to learners from ages 3 to 21. Uhm… the second keep uhm…. Not yet diay an IEP. Ha! Finally, I can
see your chat. Hala! Karon rako kita, sorry na happy ko. Ahh! I can see now the emojis, sorry nag
backread ko gamay. Good Evening!! ok sorry na distract ko because finally ni.. nakit.an na nako
inyong mga chat. Alright. Ahh! Jericho for your question regarding.. Thank you so much, I finally saw
that. Uhm… during the prelims week kay we will meet pa man. I will instead of having the prelim
exam, I will discuss pa. Ok ra mo? Because anyway the exam is via kuan man google forms. I will just
send it to you maybe to our ah.. next week we’ll see… we’ll discuss later… I will discuss first this one.
Pwede ra canva bebs, mo ana. Yes, the discussion.. everything naa ra na sa LMS, ako ra gyud siya gi
go through. So, the IEP will contain the child’s present level of performance, academic achievement.
So basically, the IEP contains what.. ahh.. all the information that a teacher should know about the
child so that the teacher will be able to kanang implement ahh.. create a plan and implement a plan
according to really what the child needs noh? Uhm… the IEP also contains annual goals. The IEP, ang
naka nindot lang sa IEP vs lesson plan. If lesson plan is good for everyone and IEP is individualized.
When you also lesson plan, it’s also good for one class. So if I make a lesson plan now, that particular
lesson plan is simply.. is just for class for this class alone. For tomorrow, I will make another one. The
IEP is different. when I create an IEP, it’s good for a year that’s why we create annual goals instead of
lesson objectives but you also have to create uhm… a lesson plan based on the IEP. So double lang
imong work as a SPED teacher but it’s ok.. it’s very kuan uhm… what do you call this very satisfying
sad jud sa atong part honestly. Uhm.. short.
