Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between

solid waste management practices and the level of
satisfaction among community stakeholders in Barangay Sto.
Nino, Calapan City. Employing a quantitative cross-
sectional survey, data was collected from residents,
business owners, and local authorities to gauge their
perceptions and satisfaction regarding the existing waste
management system.
Key aspects such as waste collection frequency,
accessibility to collection points, segregation practices,
recycling initiatives, waste disposal methods, and
community awareness were examined. The study's findings
reveal both the strengths and weaknesses of the current
waste management practices, while also identifying
influential factors that impact the satisfaction levels of
the community stakeholders.
This research contributes valuable insights that can
aid local policymakers in formulating targeted
interventions, enhancing waste management infrastructure,
and promoting community engagement to achieve sustainable
waste management practices that align with the preferences
and needs of Barangay Sto. Nino residents.
