Demon Hunter

A demon runs as fast as he can from the battered remains of

his travelling party. He risks one more look for any pursuers.
All he met however, is a pair of green orbs and then
darkness...
A kobold covered in green glowing tatoos stands in front of
the demon gang he was pursuing for some time. At first they
laugh but when the kobold turns to a dragonic beast they
laugh no more.
A drow stalks near tents in the newly made encampment.
She listens for few minutes. After learning what she was after
she raises and unfurles a pair of great wings. With a smile
her lips she takes flight under cover of an unnatural darkness.
Demons Hunters are once mortals who swore destroy their
foes without mercy or rest. Drawing on demonic forces to
fuel their attacks, demon hunters pursue their prey with
uncanny agility, dodging away from danger and closing on
enemies in the blink of an eye. These melee-focused
assassins unleash pent-up fury in the form of devastating
attacks—even metamorphosing into terrifying demonic forms
in moments of great need.
Sacrifice and Power
Demon hunters are dark, shadowy warriors who are shunned
by greater society. They made a pact, long ago, to fight against
the forces of chaos using its own terrible powers against it.
These mysterious warriors ritually blind themselves so that
they develop 'spectral sight' that enables them to see demons
and undead with greater clarity. They wield demonically
charged warblades in battle and even call upon demonic
energies to augment their formidable combat skills. Although
they are counted as some of the mightiest warriors within the
society, the demon hunters are always maligned and
misunderstood for making their selfless pact with darkness.
Hatred Above All
Demon hunters are defined by two things. Their endless fury
and hatred. This hatred commonly targeted towards demons
since demons are the main reason for that hatred. Demon
Hunters who choose profession for that reason are followers
of the roots of it and their sacrifices can be seen as
honorable. However from time to time an individual can
match the hatred required. This individuals mostly do not
follow the footsteps of their fellow Demon Hunters and
choose their own way. Since no hierarchy or a code exist
between them this individuals are free to do as they wish and
most of the time there is no repercussions for their actions.
It's been said that only one in five survive the Demon
Hunter training, many being overwhelmed by the demonic
energies, either killing them or driving them to suicide. Their
very initiation ritual involves fusing a demon's spirit to their
own. After their ritual Demon Hunters are in battle with their
inner demons constantly. This often drives them to borders of
their sanity.
Demons Hunters are not righteous and selfless warriors
who battle against forces of evil. It is quite opposite. Whatever
the reason they choose this road they are in this road for
themselfs. Sometimes to take revenge, sometimes to gain
power.
