A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting a new lesson:

 The different diseases acquire in the Digestive system.

B. Establishing a purpose to the lesson:

C. Presenting Examples/ instances of a new lesson

Activity:
1. Group the class into groups with 5 members each.
2. Distribute the pictures of food from different food groups. and let the arrange a
combination of food which can give enough nutrients for the body.
 1st group will arrange them according to kind of food group
 2 group will arrange them according to most kind food they eat
 3rd group will arrange them according to least kind of food they eat
 4th group will arrange them on food that should be contained on your daily meal
 5th group will arrange them according to food they should eat in moderation.
3. Encourage brain storming before presenting the combination on the board.
4. Assign a reporter who will present the output.

D. Discussing new concept and practice new skills #1.

Q1. Which food group in the Food pyramid do you observe the greatest in number of servin?least
number of serving?
Q2. Which food group/s do you see no serving?
E. Discussing new concept and practice new skills #2

Carbohydrates Protein

Energy,Growth
and Repair

Fats and oils Vitamins and

minerals

F. Developing mastery
 Important nutrients found on a balanced diet:
Carbohydrates- energy giving food
Protein – growth and repair of damage tissues
Fats and oils – energy giving and source of essential fatty acids
Vitamins and mineral- controls bodily functions

 Variety of food promotes proper growth and development and prevention of health problems.

G. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily living.

 Most of the livelihood in the Barangays in Pinabacdao is farming. In fact, one of the
celebration of Pinabacdao which is the Mayaw-Mayaw Festival which is basically about the
industry that abounds the place. Farmers in the town provides rice, corn and root crops rich in
Carbohydrates, poultry, livestock and fishing industry provides enough Protein, Vegetables
and fruits trees are always in the backyard. Copra mills and coconut products industry
provides enough oil for everyone. So there is no reason not to follow a balanced diet. For
better health one must eat healthy and fresh food.

H. Making Generalizations about the lesson

 A balanced diet is a representation of a complete meal that contains all the necessary
nutrients for energy, growth and repair
 A food serving with carbohydrates, protein, fats and oils and vitamins and minerals is
considered a complete and balanced diet

I. Evaluating Learning.
Answer the following.
1. What is a balanced diet?
2. Why is balanced diet important?
3. What does Mayaw-mayaw Festival symbolizes in relation to balance diet?

J. Additional activities for the application or remediation.

I. REMARKS
II. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation
B. No. of students who require
additional activities for
remediation who scored
below 80%
C. Did the remedial lesson
work? No. of learners who
had caught up with the
lesson.
D. No. of learners who
continue to require
remediation
E. Which of my teaching
strategies work well? Why
did these work?
F. What difficulties did I
encounter which my
principal or supervisor can
help me solve
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with
the other teachers?

 In writing the electron configuration, one must follow the different rules in writing the
electron configuration
 The Aufbau Principle – In filling the orbitals with electron, lower energy level must be filled up
first before the higher one’s.,
 Pauli’s Exclusion Principle – An orbital has a maximum number of two electrons with
opposite spin.Orbitals with same level should be filled with one electron before pairing.
 Hund’s Rule – Orbitals with same level should be filled with one electron before pairing
