Due to the global pandemic, the Egyptian Ministry of ICT

By now, we all know the problem with plastic. Every year, over 300
million tonnes of it are produced, with fifty percent being single-use
plastic items, and 14million tonnes reaching the ocean. But why does
the plastic we manufacture and use on land end up in the sea?
Inadequate waste disposal can come from individual citizens littering
or big companies illegally dumping large quantities of rubbish. Once
wind and rain, or a large truck, have helped plastic make its way into
the water, it can stay there for 450 years, which is how long it takes
plastic to decompose. However, it doesn’t stay as a bottle or a straw
for all that time; due to the effects of the Sun, wind, and other natural
factors, plastic breaks down into tiny particles called microplastics.
When plastic is large, it can easily cause death to marine life, but when
it’s very small, it can make its way up the food chain into our own
stomachs. As plastic is made from chemicals, it could cause damage
to our bodies. This global problem has been exposed in recent years,
but one aspect that might have been ignored is its impact on individual
countries. Tourism and infrastructure can be massively disrupted by

We may think of dinosaurs as dangerous and powerful, but what
would you say if you found out that they caught colds and coughs?
Scientists have come across something they have never seen before:
lumps in the neck of a dinosaur. They believe that these were caused
by a virus that affected breathing. The fossil that led to this finding was
of a long-necked herbivorous, or plant-eating, dinosaur that the
scientists have nicknamed Dolly. This dinosaur was discovered in
1990 in Montana, USA, and it is thought to be around 150 million years

When looking for signs of illness in dinosaurs from millions of years
ago, most of the evidence so far has only been found in their
teeth, knees, and elbow joints. Experts can study these issues and

Technology has become crucial to our lives in the 21st century. We
use it fo work, entertainment, communication, and so on. Most people
would struggle to live without it. However, until now, technology has
remained mainly external to our bodies. But what if we are about to
merge with our technology? Nanomedicine is one technology
anticipated to become a reality very soon. With technology and the
human body, medicine has always been a pioneer, with devices such
as pacemakers and hearing aids already existing for decades.
Nanomedicine stands apart from these other medical technologies
because of its very small size. The word “nano” refers to things that
are impossible or very hard for humans to see without the aid of a
microscope. One potential use of this technology would be that of
Nanorobots. Nanorobots, which are microscopic robots, could
theoretically be injected into patients to detect or repair damages.
This process could be carried out at a molecular or even atomic level,
making highly dangerous diseases a thing of the past. However, it’s
still unclear whether or not this technology is practical or even
possible. The second, more widespread technology we see even
today is that of human microchip implants. The microchips are usually
injected under the skin and then positioned during a very minor
procedure. Their main use is storing data. Among the information they
can hold are keycards, medical history, and payment cards. By
eliminating external cards and data storage, this technology could one
day revolutionise our lives. As time passes and technology advances,
new technologies are inevitably invented. It is only a matter of time
until some of this technology is integrated into our bodies. Whether this
is a positive or negative thing, however, remains to be seen.

method to battle difficult situations is a practice called mindfulness.
Mindfulness is your awareness of what is happening in your mind,

People like to make predictions, and what life will be like in
the future is one area that a particularly large number of
people make predictions about. As we make predictions
about the future from our point of view today, it can be
interesting to look back at what people in the past predicted
and notice which predictions were accurate and which were
