0700 H = ERT alerted thru PA and VHF channel 69 ISPS Exercise…ISPS Exercise…ISPS Exercise…
suspicious small craft approaching at close port quarter attempting to come alongside.
0702 H = Chief Officer reported to the bridge members accounted 19 personnel. Instructed the CE to
run fire pump and fire monitor & the CM trying to communicate said suspicious craft with 4
persons onboard to keep out from close proximity while other ERT members stby. for action
0704 H = ERT Team tried to chase the small craft using the fire monitor & fire hoses but to no avail they
started shooting to the ERT and manage to come onboard, took all crew as hostage and the
demand was a ransom of $ 5 million dollars and if the demand is not meet they will bring the
vessel to the oilfield and to collide in one of the manned platform.
0708 H = Communication and negotiation started to the relevant personnel concerned. Crew & vessel
safety is in the hands of the negotiator and the bandits.
0709 H – 0714 = Chief Officer’s de-briefing to the crew that in case such incident arises no harsh action
To be taken other than to follow the bandits instruction and leave all to the negotiator onshore.
0715 H = Dismissal from the exercise.
