4.1 Introductory Activity What is your favorite beverage to drink early in the morning, during snacks, and in the evening?
What are the ingredients being mixed to form those beverages?

Pupils are grouped.
4.2 Activity (10 mins). Each group is given a piece of paper where instructions about the activity are written.

What mixtures are mixed together?
4.3 Analysis ( 10 mins). What mixture where substances don’t mix well? Why do you think so?
Based on the activity you have conducted, what is a miscible liquid?
What is an immiscible liquid?
4.4 Abstraction ( 5mins.) Give examples.

Cabbage Game
Teacher will introduce a cabbage game to the pupils. The cabbage is made up of paper as its leaves. In
4.5 Application ( 5mins.) each leaf, a mixture is written. Pupils are asked to pass the cabbage from one classmate to another
while singing a song, “Long Bridge is Falling Down”. As the song stops, the pupil who holds the cabbage
will get one leaf and read the mixture written on it and then identify if it is miscible or immiscible.
