1) The Maritime Engineer has detected the sand contained rather much impurities such as charcoals and
clay lamp with dimension smaller than 10mm just on the conveyor belt after sieved. The cause deemed
wet sand lamp embracing charcoal not to screen out. The Contractor shall improve the sieving device so
as to exclude charcoal and clay lamp.
2) While the stockpile of aggregates is free for any vehicles to access with dirty tire, clay lamps were
seemed easily mixed to stocked materials and suspected to mix in the concrete batch. The Contractor
should restrict the use of loader for the single purpose of stockpile supply and provide the barricade to
prevent other vehicles access.
3) The allowable ingredient of impurities shall be checked by mortar compression test.
