The Universal Medium Voltage Termination System for
Polymeric and Paper Insulated Cables
Over the last three decades, engi-
neers in utilities and industry around
the world have specified of million’s
Raychem cable terminations at
distribution voltages up to 36 kV.
Raychem terminations have be-
come identified with reliability be-
cause of their unparalleled long-
term performance – where it really
counts – in the field. Today there are
many changes influencing the distrib-
ution of power at medium voltages.
For example, the transition to new
types of polymeric cable, distribution
at higher voltages, and the wide-
spread usage of compact switchgear.
Anticipating these industry changes,
we have continued to extend and
improve the product range, based on
the extensive experiece both in the
field and at our outdoor test sites in
coastal, polluted and desert environ-
ments. Now these developments are
incorporated in a new generation of
Raychem heat-shrinkable cable termi-
nations, that are even easier to select
and install, without compromising
the reliability of proven materials
technology. The improved system is
simpler to use, because the basic ter-
mination components and installation
steps are the same – even if your net-
work operates with voltages of 7.2 to
36 kV; if you use 12 kV belted paper
cable and 24 kV water-blocked single
core polymeric cable; whether you
make equipment connections in a
cable box or in compact switchgear.
Let’s review the main advantages of

The RICS, fully insulated, right-angle
and straight adaptors make it easy to
connect any type of cable to modern
compact electrical equipment.
A special RICS, accommodating a
ZnO Surge Arrester is now available
as well as a low profile, one piece
cable termination (IXSU), designed
specifically for applications with very
limited clearances between phases.

We have the universal jointing

system for all types of paper and
polymeric cable up to 36 kV. The
same system allows transition joints
between different tree-core paper
cable and transitions from paper to
polymeric cables. Trifurcations with
any combination of cables are also
easy with the Raychem jointing
system.

General Product Information

ROCKWOOL stone wool products are made of basalt, a volcanic stone.

ROCKWOOL stone wool products are non-combustible with a ROCKWOOL stone wool is inorganic and contains no
melting point more than 1000°C. They are particularly nutritious substance. Therefore it will not be attacked by
suitable for thermal insulation, fire protection and sound microorganisms. Stone wool will not rot and does not attract

Cool‘n’Comfort Blanket & Slab ™

Introduction The double skin roofing system is a high performance roofing

ROCKWOOL Cool’n’Comfort Series is designed for single or
double skin metal roof, with or without skylight, to satisfy
U-value requirements in order to achieve the desired roof
thermal transmittance value (RTTV). It is also available with a
radiant barrier facing to suit the requirements of all types of
roofs in commercial and industrial buildings. Cool’n’Comfort
is highly effective in reducing solar heat gain through the roof
for non air-conditioned buildings; and where air-conditions are
used, Cool’n’Comfort helps to save energy and reduce energy
costs. The unique properties of Cool’n’Comfort contribute to
making an energy efficient, environmentally sustainable and
fire safe roofing system, thereby creating a cool, comfortable
and safe indoor environment.
Applications

installation and a perfect fit between purlins.

Cool’n’Comfort Series is specially formulated with a silicone Cool’n’Comfort Series is available as plain products and
water repellent coated onto each strand of the stone wool additionally with options of foil facing or glass tissue on one-
fibres. *This special coating allows Cool’n’Comfort to repel side or two-sided.

Cool’n’Comfort is shrink-wrapped in polyethylene sheets for

ease of handling, transportation and storage.

Selected range of blanket products are in compressed roll

which gives significant reduction in size compared to folded
blankets, thereby further reducing your warehousing cost.
