I. Objectives
This activity is adhered by the following objectives:
1. To help the students appreciate the significance of knowing the different Government
Agencies and Private Sectors and how these helped our society today.
2. To let the students become aware of the current agencies and its tasks in our society.
3. To showcase the intelligence of the students who has passion in Araling Panlipunan.
II. Participants
1. The contest is open to all Grade 9 students of Cuyapo National High School.
2. The quiz bee is individual in nature.
A. Elimination Phase
1. The elimination phase is written in nature and must be completed by all grade 9 students in
their respective section.
2. On October 10, 2023, during their Araling Panlipunan class, the elimination phase will take
place.
3. The participants will have 30 minutes to respond to 20 questions.
4. The teacher will grade the papers, and the Assistant School Principal II will verify them.The
top three competitors from each section will advance to the Final Phase.
B. Final Phase
1. The final phase will be conducted on October 12, 2023, 8:00 – 9:00am, at 7-Wisdom room,
grade 7 building.
2. There will be nine (9) teams, each team composing of three (3) members coming from those
who successfully made it in the elimination phase.
3. There will be three (3) rounds. Easy, Average and Difficult. Five (5) questions will be asked
in each round and the scoring of points will be cumulative for each team. In case of a tie, a
clincher question will be asked to be facilitated by the Quiz Master (teacher).
4. A Quiz Master, a Timer, and a Scorer will be assigned to facilitate the competition.
5. A team composed of the Assistant Principal, Master Teacher and Grade 9 Teacher will
evaluate and give decisions in case of queries and complaints.
6. Distribution of points is as follows:
Easy Question 1 point for each correct answer
Average Question 2 points for each correct answer
Difficult Question 3 points for each correct answer
Clincher Question 5 points for each correct answer
7. Questions will be read by the Quiz Master (teacher). No contestant is allowed to write his/her
answer unless the teacher gives the signal to proceed. The time allotment for each round
are as follows: Easy – 10 seconds, Average – 15 seconds, Difficult – 20 seconds and
Clincher – 25 seconds.
8. Winners will receive exciting prizes:

MECHANICS:
A. Elimination Phase
1. The elimination phase is written in nature and shall be participated by all grade 9 students to be
conducted in their respective section.
2. The elimination phase shall be conducted on October 10, 2023, during their Araling Panlipunan
class.
3. There will be 20 questions to be answered by the participants within 30 minutes.
4. The papers will be evaluated by the teacher and verified by the Assistant School Principal II.
5. The top 3 participants from each section will join the Final Phase.
B. Final Phase
1. The final phase will be conducted on October 12, 2023, 8:00 – 9:00am, at 7-Wisdom room,
grade 7 building.
2. There will be nine (9) teams, each team composing of three (3) members coming from those

3. Cellular or mobile phones are not allowed during the competition.
4. All answers must be written on the slate boards provided by each team.

question will be asked to be facilitated by the Quiz Master (teacher).

7. Any question or query to the correctness of the answers should be raised before the start of the
next question.
