A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson


Before we start the lesson, let us begin with the
following end in mind:

 Explain the distinguishing characteristics of


representative music from Cordillera;
 Explore ways of producing sounds on a
variety of sources similar to instruments
being studied;
 Improvise simple rhythmic/melodic
accompaniments to selected music from the
Cordillera; and
 Performs instruments/improvised
instruments from Cordillera, alone and/or
with others

Now may we sing the Salidommay, also known as Students will sing in a capella.
the Ragragsakan song which we learned during our
previous lesson when discussed about the vocal
music of Cordillera.

What can you say about their music?


In the highlands of Luzon, music is related to
different occasions such as life cycle events and
occupational activities and various rituals. Students listen attentively

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson


Did you know that music of Cordillera is
distinctively made up of two sound characteristics of
instruments? These are the Gangsa ensemble and
Bamboo ensemble. Students listen attentively
(Strategies that promote literacy) and (Integration of
Content Knowledge- History).

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson


 May we have first a vocabulary enhancement
for us to know how much knowledge do you
