HURLING (TEAM SPORTS)

MATERIAL: Tennis balls and rackets

OBJECTIVE OF THE SESSION: Introduce a new sport in the classroom, improve the dynamization in English.

WARM UP

10 min It is a warm-up to start activating ourselves in the


classroom and begin to take temperature to our body.
We have done a warm up which consists of running
around a limited area of the track doing articulated
movements directed by the teacher. By the teacher,
there were variants that when the teacher wanted to
say the numbers: 1- touching the ground, 2- jumping
up, 3- doing a turn around ourselves, 4- to push
someone but not in an abrupt way, just a little bit of
contact. The last variant could also say to form groups
of 3, groups of 2, groups of 5, then you have to group
with you had to group yourself with the closest
companions and whoever was left without a group
had to make a punishment.

MAIN PART

I would play a hurling match at the high school track, I


would divide the class in 3 groups to make a triangular
match, the winning team keeps playing, and the loser
goes out. The team that is waiting would do passing
technique so that they would not stand still. We would
40 min do it with tennis racquets and piles, since we can't use
the appropriate material, we had to make an
adaptation. The team that scores 3 goals will win, in
case of a tie, the team that has been playing the
longest will win.

At the end of the session, to lower the heart rate, we


10 min will have each player take a penalty kick.
