RELATIVE CLAUSES
(Mệnh đề quan hệ)

* Omission of relative pronouns. (Lược bỏ đại từ quan hệ)


Đại từ quan hệ làm tân ngữ WHO(M), WHICH, THAT có thể được bỏ trong mệnh đề quan hệ xác
định. (không được lược bỏ WHOM/ WHICH khi nó đứng ngay sau giới từ)
Ví dụ : - He promised to lend me the book (which/that) he bought yesterday.
-The girl (whom/ that) you met yesterday is my sister’s close friend.

=> Đại từ quan hệ có thể được lược bỏ khi đủ 3 điều kiện
- Được dùng trong mệnh đề quan hệ xác định (không đặt sau dấu phẩy)
- Làm tân ngữ
- Không đứng ngay sau giới từ
