While searching for new opportunities, I was excited to learn about the Junior Associate
position at McKinsey & Company since it exactly aligns with my expertise and interest. My
logical skills coupled with mathematical and analytical skills widely implemented in decision-
making make me confident that I will be able to excel in this role.
Challenging myself to be creative while using quantitative methods to implement
recommendations is the reason behind my highly graded course projects. My approach to
managing time constraints is having effective communication with the team. During the
internship at PTCL, there was a strict deadline; however, discussing and researching with the
team resulted in intelligent financial decisions which proved to be beneficial for PTCL’s Net
Worth. Due to employing sophisticated numerical algorithms in Python and R, our presentation
was highly praised by the stakeholders. As a Research Analyst at Silverlight Research, I
multitasked by conducting around five case-based research everyday which resulted in greater
productivity and efficiency.
Moreover, with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Mathematics, I enjoy being
up to date with political and economic situations around the globe since it is crucial in decision-
making for client management. As I have always loved working with numbers (and getting
judged for it), I wanted to help those who struggle in quantitative topics during my time as a
Teacher Assistant of ‘Operations Research.’ Being a fresh graduate, I have learnt newly
discovered statistical models and quantitative models for data analysis, and I am excited to
apply them at McKinsey & Company.
McKinsey & Company has been my top priority since it won Best Places to Work in
2022; hence, I want to start my professional journey at a company with ideal work conditions.
Secondly, my vision and ethics align with that of McKinsey & Company. While organizing a
march for women’s rights in Pakistan, our organization committee learnt how McKinsey &
Company has invested more than $20 million on research for women empowerment. Lastly,
what I admire the most about this role is that a 5-week training which would encourage lateral
thinking and creativity. Furthermore, since this role is broad initially, it would help me learn
which field is the best suited for me.
