Logo Manual
Description
This logo wishes to convey the theme of the
Feast of the Black Nazarene for 2024: “We
would like to see Jesus” (Ibig po naming
makita si Hesus), taken from the Gospel of
John 12:20. This clean circular feature of the
logo symbolizes the communal and inclusive
attitude and message of the church today as
it undergoes the synod of synodality. This
logo has four elements which will be
described one by one. The logo is versatile
and scalable to any medium.
Image of “Hesus
Nazareno”
The silhouette image of the Black Nazarene is
the main feature of this logo. The only detailed
feature of the silhouette are the hand and the
“tres potencias” which symbolizes the two
natures of Jesus. Through the Incarnation,
Jesus becomes fully human (hand) and fully
Divine (Tres Potencias).
Quiapo Church
The silhouette image of the Quiapo Church is
another noticeable feature of this logo, the
center of the Devotion to the Black Nazarene.
Devotees from all walks of life flock in to this
church to ask for grace from the Lord through
the celebration of the eucharist and other
forms of devotional practices.
The Dove
The Dove is located at the upper part of the
logo. The Dove can be linked to the on going
“Synod of Synodality” of the Church and has
the pivotal role in the movement of the
Church.
The Devotees
The dotted colors symbolizes the Devotees in
different colors. This also wishes to convey
the annual “Traslacion.” Every “Traslacion”
we can see devotees wearing in red, maroon
and yellow shirts. These colors can also be
linked to the gift of “Piety” by the Holy Spirit.
The Theme
The theme for the Feast of the Black
Nazarene for 2024 is taken from the Gospel
of John 12:20 which writes: “We would like to
see Jesus” (Ibig po naming makita si Hesus)
The Annual Feast
The Feast of the Black Nazarene 2024 is
added at the lower right part of the logo to
complete the feature of the logo.

Reymond N. Lovendino, an amateur
graphic designer and logo maker
from Legazpi City, Albay. He is
currently the Campus Ministry
Coordinator of the College Division at
Divine Word College of Legazpi.
