20th, and money up to PhP100.
2. The learner demonstrates understanding of addition of whole numbers up to 1000 including
money.
II. Performance Standard:
1. The learner is able to recognize, represent, compare, and order whole numbers up to 1000,
ordinal numbers up to 20th, and money up to PhP100 in various forms and contexts.
2. The learner is able to recognize and represent ordinal numbers up to 20th in various forms and
contexts.
3. The learner is able to apply addition of whole numbers up to 1000 including money in
mathematical problems and real-life situations.
III. Learning Competency/ies:
- The learner counts the value of a set of bills or a set of coins through PhP100 (peso-coins
only; centavo-coins only; peso-bills only and combined peso-coins and peso-bills).
IV. Learning Targets:
1. Identify the different Philippine Money ( peso-coins, centavo-coins, peso-bills, and combined
peso-coins and peso-bills ).
2. Read the different value of each coins and bills.
3. Count the value of a set of bills or a set of coins.

 Motivation:
1. Have the students bring out their coins.
2. Individually let them observe the appearance of each coin.
3. Ask the students to observe the shape, color, size, appearance and what can be seen
on the faces of the coins.
 Discussion:
- Teacher will show pictures of different Philippine coins.
- Teacher’s Guide Questions:
1. What is the shape of the coins?
2. What is the shape of the peso-bills?
3. Which coins don’t have prints of faces?

 Day 3 : Counting Money: Write the amount in figures.
 Day 4: Counting Money: Express the currency values into words.
 Day 5: Observe the money you have at home. Answer the following questions:
