lesson or presenting the new
lesson Find the sum.

90 + 2 = 92

60 + 5 = 65

100 + 20 + 4 = 124

All right! Now this is our problem of the day.

How much money do you have if you have two - 50 peso bills, three - 20 peso bills and
four - 5 peso coins?

All right! So, get your pen and paper to answer this problem. You have 1 minute to answer
this problem.

Time is up! All right let’s see the solution.

SOLUTION:

There are two 50 peso bills that makes Php100

Three peso of bills that makes 60 pesos

And; four 5 peso coins and that makes 20 pesos

so to find the answer we need to add the following...

100 + 60 + 20 = PhP180

Yeeyyy! Good Job!

Now, Let's play a guessing game where you all have the opportunity to give me the proper
answer.

Do you know this two people?

Yayyy! yes you are right! They are former Pres. Cory Aquino and Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr.

All right we can see where we can find them

Have you seen them before? Where?

Yes! In a 500 peso bill.

All right children! uhm...

What will you buy if you have a lot of money?

Okay first we need to buy our needs,

What we need to do before we buy other things that we want?

Correct! We need to spend our money wisely.

Now, Let’s have a trivia...

Did you know that our ancestors didn’t use money to buy goods before? They only
exchanged their good!

This is known as the "old product exchange that does not use money," for instance, if your
family is one of those that gets tired of eating fish and your parents thought of trading
your fish meal with the meat vendor. However, you will swap things with others that also
want to exchange with you.
