1.0 SCOPE

The work covered by this method statement covers delivery, lifting, unloading and installation of
pre-casted foundations and equipments required on site.

5.0 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 ANABEEB Management
 Obtain all necessary site clearance for construction, MOCs, site takeover permits, etc.
 Ensure availability of approved and required site procedural requirements
 Ensure that project requirements and scope are fully communicated to sub-contractor
 Make available the required IFC drawings prior to start of activity and that any revisions
to approved drawings are promptly communicated to sub-contractor
 Shall oversee overall site management to ensure that responsibilities are well covered
and performed by the project organization
 Shall ensure availability of sub-contractor’s personnel, equipment and service
provider’s access to site to avoid work interruptions due to this
5.2 KAK Project/ Construction Manager
 Shall ensure that contractual obligations are satisfied and satisfactorily performed
 Ensure that all instructions and requirements from main-contractor are within project
scope of work and agreed terms of contract
 Shall ensure timely and keen planning activities in-line with project schedule
 Ensures that key site personnels assigned on project performs their duties required
 Shall intermediate and link between departments to have a clear and continuous
communication for safety, quality and construction team
 Shall take responsibility and accountability for decisions made, interpretations of
instructions from Client and deviations from work program considering risks and
opportunities available
 Ensures availability of materials, personnel and equipments required for in all stages of
the project.
 Shall serve as only direct link to main contractor representative for all communication
and instruction to be passed to down-line of the organization.
5.3 KAK Workgroup Supervisor
 Ensures all workgroup are having most recent revision of IFC drawings on the site
 Ensures implementation of work procedures between disciplines and workgroups
 Ensures materials, equipment and manpower required on all open & on-going work
fronts are sufficient and made available
5.4 KAK Quality Supervisor
 Coordinates and informs workgroup supervisors of all inspection and hold-points on
open & on-going work activities
 Ensures all required inspections are promptly inform main contractor of the same
 Coordinate with third party inspection and ensure availability of technicians
5.5 KAK Safety Supervisor
 Ensures safety procedures are in place and being strictly implemented
 Ensures all safety facilities, PPE and equipments are made available in a continuous
basis
 Ensures Site safety and work permit requirements are satisfied and complied
 Oversee implementation of confined space & work specific procedures
5.6 KAK Rigger
 Shall ensure safe weather condition and ample space available for crane to operate
 Ensures stable ground for crane to operate and distance from other structures
 Ensures crane capacity is within range for the load being lifted

6.0 WORK PROCEDURE


6.1 SITE PREPARATION
6.1.1 Prior to any lifting activity, all lifting certificates and vehicle entry permits should be
made ready on the site. All lifting equipments such as cranes and boom trucks are all
inspected with stickers required.
6.1.2 Equipment operators shall have certification and ID for plant access to perform work
6.1.3 Site shall be barricaded and safety signage to be posted for the intended lifting activity
6.1.4 The lifting radius of cranes shall be barricaded to avoid other persons entering the site
during activity execution.
6.1.5 The site shall also be made ready to receive equipments to be installed. Soil sub-grade
compaction, anchor bolts and sub-structure preparations shall be made available before
the work.
6.1.6 Lifting activities shall be postponed during high winds and unfavorable weather
conditions.

6.2 LIFTING AND UNLOADING OPERATIONS


6.2.1 Crane/Boom truck positions shall be ensured to be on stable ground or pavement.
6.2.2 Outriggers shall be provided with timber or steel pads and supported on stable
soil/ground.
6.2.3 A certified rigger should be available on the site to work with crane/boom truck
operator during the entire lifting activity.
6.2.4 No personnel’s shall be allowed to enter within the vicinity of lifting especially under
the boom area where load is being lifted.
6.2.5 All lifting equipments such as hooks, shackles, slings and chains shall be checked to
be in good working condition and appropriate for the load being lifted.
6.2.6 Lift the foundations/equipments into position ensuring that no plant equipments will
be damaged along the route of the lift. Rigger shall be vigilant and ensure that loads
being lifted will pass through safe path during the lifting activity.
6.2.7 While load is being lifted, all workers shall be at safe distance from the crane. The
workers involved with the installation activity will only approach the load during
slings/shackles installation and during removal upon unloading
6.2.8 Extreme care shall be ensured during lifting of pre-cast foundations to avoid cracks or
damage on the structure. No impact or collision to existing structure should occur
and bringing to position should be done slowly not to drop the foundations causing
impact stress on the concrete
6.2.9 All foundations and equipments installation shall be ensured to be in correct position
and orientation in accordance to IFC drawings. Upon setting of foundations and
equipments, surveyor shall ensure the proper position before setting of bolts
6.2.10 Upon completion of lifting activity, all temporary barricades and signage shall be
taken out of the site including all debris/waste material resulting from the work.

7.0 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS


7.1 Permit to work shall be secured prior to starting any site activity.
7.2 All workers shall comply with the requirements of the approved project safety manual, job
safety analysis and permit conditions.
7.3 All workers shall wear required PPE at all times while engaged on the work.
7.4 Hand tools shall be in good working condition
7.5 All mechanical/electric tools used are in good condition and inspected by SAFETY.

7.6 Cranes and boom truck third party certifications shall be available with the equipments

7.7 Riggers, flagman and safety officers shall be vigilant to ensure that all lifting activity is
performed in safe manner not to damage any other facilities and plant equipments.

7.8 Crane and boom truck outrigger positions should be provided with wooden or steel pads to
avoid punching through ground, pavements or road.

7.9 Barricades shall be provided within the lifting radius and no personnel will walk or stay below
lifted load or crane booms.

7.10 All lifting accessories such as shackles, slings, chains and lifting beams when used are in good
working condition.

7.11 Ensure all lifting and rigging activities postponed during presence of heavy winds and
unfavorable weather conditions.
