I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of axiomatic structure and t
congruence.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to:
1. Formulate an organized plan to handle a real - life situation.
2. Communicate mathematical thinking with coherence and clarity in formulating, investi
analyzing, and solving real-life problems involving congruent triangles using appropria
accurate representations.
C. Learning Competencies/ Illustrates the need for an axiomatic structure of a mathematical system in general, and in Geo
Objectives in particular: (a) defined terms; (b) undefined terms; (c) postulates; and (d) theorems.

At the end of the discussion, students will be able to:
1. Identify the different types of the angles.
2. State the differences of each type of angles.
3. Participate actively in all the activity related to the topic.

 Abstraction

Angle
 An angle according to Euclidean
geometry can be defined as the figure
that is formed by two rays (by their
intersection). The rays are known as
the sides of the angle and the
common point shared by the two rays
is known as the vertex of the angle.
 There are majorly three types of
angles heard; they are right angle,
acute angle, an obtuse angle.
However, there are majorly seven
types of angles present.

Types of angle

 Zero Angle: The two rays formed an

angle that measures exactly 0°.

 Acute Angle: The two rays formed an

angle that measures more than 0° but
less than 90 °.

 Obtuse Angle: The two rays formed

an angle that measures more than 90°
but less than 180°.

 Straight Angle: The two rays formed an

angle that measures exactly 180°.

 Reflex Angle: The two rays formed an

angle that measures more than 180° but
less than 360°.

 Complete Angle: The two rays of the

angle make exactly 360°.
