Lesson Focus:
- Continuing practice of clear shots
- Introduction to drop shots
- Introduction to different shots and when to use them
Lesson Objectives (SWBAT):
Students will be able to perform a drop shot in a partner rally setting and start working toward implementing this
skill in games.
Students will be able to identify situations where an appropriate shot should be used

Studetns who are not grasping the clear shot/drop shot will be encouraged to refine their badmintion skills at
their own pace
This includes practicing manipulating the shuttle from left to right with simply using manipulating the raquet
head

Formative assessment will be taken to see how students are able to incorporate different shots into their games and their ability with
the shots covered earlier in the unit

General Safety Considerations (please refer to Safety Guidelines):


Outline to stay clear of the badminton poles when playing close to the net as drop shots are a focus
Stress the importance of spatial awareness when swinging the raquet

Lastly, making sure to assess and address skill acquisitions is important, make sure there is learning occuring
