METHOD STATEMENT

WALKWAY

Purpose

This draft proposal is for construct 100mm thk RC walkway with broom finish
and is subjected to revise, amend or other alternatives and future discussion with
parties involved.

Scope Of Work

These works basically consists of construction and commission of walkway and

the scope of works include.

• Site clearance
• Pegging
• Excavation for site preparation
• Sub-base and crusher run base preparation
• Laying of walkway materials

Material

All materials or raw materials to be used comply with specification or approved

samples.

• 100mm thk G25 RC Concrete

• 50mm thk lean concrete
• 100mm thk well compacted hardcore.
• BRC A6/ GFRP

Method Of Construction

1) Site clearing

Prior to start any works or part of it, the area must be cleared-out of debris, dust
any other materials.

2) Pegging

To peg the necessary lay out as per drawing provided and should be approved
by the LA’ s or S.O.

3) Excavation

This shall consist of all the required excavation within the limits of the works. It
shall include the removal and proper utilization and hauling or disposal of all
excavated materials and constructing, shaping and finishing of all earthworks
over the entire extent of the works in conformity with the required lines, grades
and typical cross section. If at the time of excavation, it is not possible to place
any materials in its proper section of the permanent construction it shall be
stockpiled in approved areas for later use.

4) Sub-Base Preparation

A sub-base and crusher run base 100mm thk with proper compaction shall be
done.

5) Laying Of Walkway

• Construct and complete 100mm thk RC concrete walkway with broom

finish and 10mm(W) x 10mm(D) expansion joint every 5.0m c/w
100mm (W) border edging with smooth finish and 10mm(W) x
10mm(D) groove line.

Testing And Commissioning

On completion, testing and commissioning will be done subject to the

satisfaction of the LA’ s or his representative.

Materials And Workmanship

All materials used in the installation is according to the relevant by-laws and
Authority and where not otherwise specified to be in accordance with the
relevant British Standards. All work will be executed using only experienced
tradesmen.

Other Related Matter

1) Programme
2) Store and storage yard
3) To comply with local authority safety regulations and requirements.
Personal protection equipment such as PPE (Helmet, Safety Shoe) and
other safety relative equipments.
