III. SUMMARY/NARRATIVE

Public School Students will be exposed to career awareness starting from pre-school that will
continue through 12th grade. Career exploration program such as Career Cruising and Win Learning will be
part of the program to allow students to participate in the career exploration through a series of activities that
explores careers and planning. The Career Guidance Program will be, supported by the Department of
Education that will work with Guidance Designate and teachers to increase career and portfolio development
for all students.

The three-hour activity was done during their ESP/Homeroom Guidance subjects to utilize the time.
It was conducted with the cooperation of their Advisers Mrs. Irene Egido and Mrs. Jonalor Tagana. It started
with a short program and introduction of the said activity. Students were given Homeroom Guidance
modules where in different activities are provided. Students were able to write in their journal about
aspirations and made a commitment of achieving their dreams. Since there is not enough time to do the
culmination program where in they will wear outfits of their future dream profession thus, they were only
asked to draw themselves wearing their dream profession.
IV. ACTUAL RESULT

The result of this classroom implementation of the Career Guidance Program is positive. The
participants are now guided on choosing the right track of their dreams. They have accomplished the needed
outputs successfully.

V. MAJOR PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED

The major problem that was encountered by the activity was on planning the schedule. The time
was hectic, and a lot of activities are in-line for implementation. There’s no other available time than during
their Homeroom Guidance subjects/ESP. Another is the attendance of the students since it was conducted in
one schedule time others were absent at that time.

VI. INSIGHTS/ RECOMMENDATION

A saying goes, “If there’s a way there’s a will”. If you plan to succeed, you need to set
standards. In order to solve the problem, as Guidance Designate, I tried to insert a little time to conduct the
Career Guidance Program and took responsibility to collaborate with Grade 10 advisers to accomplish the
modules every time they will conduct the ESP subjects.
