NARRATIVE REPORT: NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP 2023


Grade 7 English Intervention Camp

Week 1:

July 24-28
We started the week with the general meeting and orientation with the
parents of the campers, in coordination with the LGU for their sponsorship of free
lunch and fair throughout the learning camp. Since there was also a typhoon there
was a postponement in the start of the Learning Camp.

Week 2:

July 31- August 1


Given the Shortened timeframe and attendance dynamics, education
discussions revolved around curriculum adaptation.

August 2-4
The NLC’s Activities were suspended due to the conduct of 3-day National
Learning Camp Training. It was a

Week 3: Rebuilding and Reconnection ; Amazing Race

Day 1-3:
Recapitulating passed learnings; we focused on re-establishing the learning
rhythm. Activities centered physical and mental challenges related to the identified
learning competencies. By this week’s end, attendance had stabilized, with 27
students present and actively participating.

Day 4-5:
Teachers exchanged insights on student’s progression, noting the active
participation of both boys and girls in discussions and group activity, the Amazing
Race.

Week 4: Application & Real-World Integration ; Treasure Hunting

Day 1-3:
Real-world application was stressed, from relating scientific learnings to day-
to-day living. Attendance declined this week due to personal reasons of students
which includes transportation expenses and farm or agricultural related work
involvement.

Day 4-5:
Teachers reviewed the practical exercises and shared feedback on student
involvement, acknowledging the equal contribution of both genders in group tasks.

Week 5: Reflection, Consolidation & Celebration

Day 1-3:
In the final week, the students showcased their achievements, and
collaborative skills. Attendance was recorded as students wanted to attend the
concluding festivities and performance recognition.

Day 4-5:
A comprehensive review of the camp’s outcomes and forward-looking
strategies for future NLC instances was discussed among educators.
The camp showcased the commitment, adaptability, and enthusiasm of the
young campers.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to the DepEd for the provided incentives,
recognizing our extra efforts. Being part of this year’s National Learning Camp’s
Success story has been profoundly fulfilling, and I am optimistic about future
educational collaborations.
