Mr. Anderson is the owner of the company which is named as tata steel & co.

He has a staff of 20
employees and 4 managers. His companies have a specified departments where 4 managers are holding
1 department each in this company. Qusai is the manager of financial department, and he has assigned
a task to four of his employees to make a budget regarding the finances of the company. The main aim
of the manager is to manage the expenses and make a budget so that the company can compete in the
market.

The employees of the finance department are Komal, Rohan, Ansh and Bhuwan, they are going to make
the budget for the next financial year so that all the expenses of the company can be managed.

Three meetings were held to achieve this goal.

Qusai: Good morning, team! I hope you're all ready for a new challenge. We've got a crucial task ahead
that requires maximum productivity. We need everyone at their best for this one.

Scene 1 (first team meeting)

Rohan: (Whispering to Komal) so, we got a task where we need maximum productivity? Ohhhhh, it
would be much fascinating to perform with all the team members.

Komal: But I haven't had my coffee yet. Can't we start the day slowly?

Ansh: I understand it's early, but this task is time sensitive. We need everyone on board and giving their
best.

Bhuwan: (Sighs) I was hoping for an easy day. What's the task anyway?

Ansh: We need to analyze the recent market trends and prepare a budget for the next fiscal year.

Rohan: Sounds challenging, but I have some other work to perform.

Ansh: (Rolls eyes) Of course, everyone has.

Rohan: Okay guys, I will leave my other work, lets start analyzing the things that is required to perform
in this task.
Narrator: By communicating with Ansh, Rohan skipped his other work and tried to focus on the activity
which is required to perform because he was fascinated by hearing the concept maximum productivity.
Komal cancelled the coffee date with her boyfriend, and she attended the full meeting because all were
getting into serious communication. Bhuwan doesn’t gave his suggestions, but he was listening actively
what others are trying to convey.

Scene 2 (second meeting)

Ansh: Guys its our second meeting and we are only left with one, so how are we going to achieve this
task

Rohan: (Yawns) For budget, we need to analyze all the market trends that is happening in the market.
Its tedious guys, but we must perform it by presenting all aspects that is required for this task.

Komal: (Nudges): Guys I have some personal commitments; can u all wrap it quickly?

Ansh: (Firmly) I understand you all have personal commitments, but the success of the team depends on
each member doing their part.

Bhuwan: (smile) Yeah, Ansh you are right. I also believe that good productivity is related to engagement,
teamwork, creativity, and communication.

Rohan: Yeah, and see, Mr. Productivity is here, and I think all should be like him if we have to complete
this task.

Ansh (Smiles) I just believe in getting the job done efficiently. Guys I and Rohan have collected some of
the research about this task, but its not sufficient we should work more on market research. Let’s have a
look on these trends and see how this relates to our research.
Narrator: Now in the second meeting Ansh and Rohan taken the initiative to initiate the task by their
research. But other members have not done anything that is why the data is not sufficient they have to
work more on their research, and it needs the involvement of all members in the group.

Scene 3 (Third meeting)


Ansh: So, we didn’t come up with anything except the previous research and you guys are not at all
taking the initiative for making the budget. Our company needs it within 2 days.

Rohan: Its our fault man, there was 15 days time and we already held 2 meetings, but we didn’t come
up with the proper data which is required to analyze other aspects. Now, we are in last moment. Can we
complete it within 2 days?

Ansh: Yeah, we can complete it within 2 days. I have gathered some more data on market trends which
can be used to make the budget. I need help from you guys and for this we all need to work overtime.

Komal: I am sorry guys, I wasn’t active ne previous two meetings, but I am ready to work overtime and
complete our task within 2 days.

Bhuwan: okay, guys let’s try to finish it off.

Rohan: Sure man, Let’s do it.

Narrator: Every team member tried to work overtime to make report. Ansh, Bhuwan and Rohan work 5
hours overtime, but Komal left little early because her parents can’t let her travel alone late night, but
she attended the full meeting and completed her work by attending it online through the Zoom.

Reporting time

Qusai: How are u all, are u guys ready with the budget report?

Ansh: Yeah, we nailed it. Our team member work lot to do this job done. I and Komal come up with the
report of previous sales and cost of production. Bhuwan and Rohan gather the data about expenses and
financial data and make predictions for upcoming expenses.

(Qusai took the report and checked it, after some time he called all of his employees in board room)

Qusai: Thank you, guys, I am happy that you all work hard to make this report. This is the most
important task for our company, and you completed it in time. Our owner will be very happy after
seeing this report.

Narrator: Now Qusai the manager of the department was very happy from the work performed by his
employees as they all were productive and ethical towards the company. That is why he appreciated all
of them by praising them as because of their efforts he will be able to show his report at proper time
which can not only maintain the goodwill of the manager but the company can also be in advantageous
position in future.
