ABSTRACT
Discussions and Conclusion. One paragraph and must not exceed to 250 words.
INTRODUCTION
(The introduction maybe composed of three or four paragraphs which will enable the
In the Philippines, the Musa acuminata x balbisiana often termed as (Saba banana)
is a popular cooking banana used in Filipino cuisine. When Saba banana’s are
boiled they produce a hue in the water while boiling, but when it is already cooked it
is just thrown out by some people. The cooled boiled water of the banana can be

native plant to the Philippines and has been consumed by boiling, frying, and mixing
to make "gulay." The reason for the study to be conducted is to find out and explore
natural hue and if that hue can be altered as a natural pigment to be a dye. That dye
can also be used in the arts and other things, such as dyeing sheets or cloths. Plant
3. Purpose.
The purpose of the study is to find out and to explore the capabilities of the Saba
banana and if the cooled boiled water of the saba banana can be used as a natural
4. Hint/Clue.
The Musa acuminata x balbisiana (Saba banana) has a natural hue when boiling and
it will be experimented and will be investigated if it has the potential to be used as a
dye. The researchers expects the study which is the boiled water of the Musa
acuminata x balbisiana (Saba banana) has the potential to be used a natural
pigment for dyeing and it’s consistent in its parameters.
General Statement
This study will assess the potentiality of Musa acuminata x balbisiana (Saba banana)
Specific Statement
What is the potentiality of Musa acuminate x balbisiana (Saba banana) boiled water
a. Color
b. Thickness
c. Consistency
Hypotheses
Null Hypothesis:
HO1: The boiled water of Musa acuminata x balbisiana (Saba banana) is not
potential in terms of color, thickness, consistency.
Alternative Hypotheses:
It can help the beneficiaries because not only it can be consumed but they could also
make use of the water that was used in boiling the bananas.
Children- Arts and crafts are mostly taught to them so a process involving a plant
based product can help them make a new type of dye in tie dyeing.
Future Researchers- They could research more and explore the capabilities of the
The market- It can be sold in shops and people would also wonder about this
product.
The study is focused on Musa acuminate x balbisiana (Saba banana) boiled water

This study will be conducted at Dona Alicia St. Tacurong City, Barangay Poblacion
Definition of Terms
Musa acuminata x balbisiana (Saba banana) boiled water- The independent variable
of the study and will be used as a natural dye pigment
Dye- The dependent variable of the study. The natural pigment of the saba banana’s
boiled water.
Color- The pigment of the boiled water.
Texture- Used to define the texture of the paint by groping the paper.
Consistency- Used to specify if the paint is consistent in its desired color or texture.
Thickness- Will be determined by feeling the after-product of the saba banana’s
boiled water as a natural hue for dye.
select, process, and analyze information about a topic. In a research paper, the
methodology section allows the reader to critically evaluate a study's overall validity
and reliability. The methods section of a research paper provides the information by
which a study’s validity is judged. The method section answers two main questions:
2) How was it analyzed? The writing should be direct and precise and written
Materials
Preparation of materials:
Materials needed are saba bananas, saucepan, coffee filter, jar, salt and
vinegar.
(Treatment 1: 1/2 kg unripe Saba banana, 28.3 grams salt, and 28.3 grams flour.
Treatment 2: 1/4 kg ripe Saba banana, 28. 3 grams salt, and 28.3 grams flour.
Treatment 3: 1 kg overripe Saba banana, 28.3 grams salt, and 28.3 grams flour.
Procedures
Put water into a pot and then put the bananas inside and let it boil for 15-20
minutes.
Extraction:
After boiling peel the skin of the banana let the water cool down and put it in a
jar and let the skin soak overnight or it can be also be heated when using a
heat source. Chop the peel of the banana and put it in a saucepan with
enough water to fully cover it. Bring the water to a simmer over medium heat
and allow to simmer for one hour. Then allow the water to come to room
temperature. Strain the water using a coffee filter.
Both vinegar and salt work well as natural fixatives with these kinds of dyes;
vinegar works well with plant-based dyes, while salt works well with pigments
derived from fruits and berries.
Put thre cloth in a saucepan with either 28.3 grams salt and 8 cups water, or
equal parts vinegar and water, and simmer for 1 hour. After it's finished, rinse
the fabric with cool water and begin dying it.
Data gathering procedure is the technique used to obtain the information used in a
study to substantiate the claims made by a researcher. There are several methods

Descriptive statistics are used to describe the basic features of the data in a study.
They provide simple summaries about the sample and the measures. Together with
simple graphics analysis, they form the basis of virtually every quantitative analysis

processes which will help assign some meaning to the data and arrive at a relevant

Results
(The results section of the research paper is where you report the findings of your
study based upon the information gathered as a result of the methodology [or
methodologies] you applied. The results section should simply state the findings,
section should always be written in the past tense. A section describing results
from your own research. A summary of your key findings arranged in a logical
elements, such as, figures, charts, photos, maps, tables, etc. to further illustrate the
findings, if appropriate.
In the text, a systematic description of your results, highlighting for the reader
observations that are most relevant to the topic under investigation [remember that
not all results that emerge from the methodology that you used to gather the data
may be relevant. Use of the past tense when referring to your results. The page
length of your results section is guided by the amount and types of data to be
reported. However, focus only on findings that are important and related to
Discussions
(The purpose of the discussion is to interpret and describe the significance of your
findings in light of what was already known about the research problem being
investigated, and to explain any new understanding or fresh insights about the
problem after you've taken the findings into consideration. The discussion will always
posed and the literature you reviewed, but it does not simply repeat or rearrange the
introduction; the discussion should always explain how your study has moved the
reader's understanding of the research problem forward from where you left them at
Conclusion
(The conclusion is intended to help the reader understand why your research should
matter to them after they have finished reading the paper. A conclusion is not merely
of key points. For most essays, one well-developed paragraph is sufficient for a
required.
These include:
Presenting the last word on the issues you raised in your paper. Just as the
introduction gives a first impression to your reader, the conclusion offers a chance to
leave a lasting impression. Do this, for example, by highlighting key points in your
analysis or findings.
study. The conclusion is an opportunity to succinctly answer the "so what?" question
by placing the study within the context of past research about the topic you've
investigated.
Demonstrating the importance of your ideas. Don't be shy. The conclusion offers
problem. This does not refer to introducing new information [which should be
avoided], but to offer new insight and creative approaches for framing/contextualizing
When writing the conclusion to your paper, follow these general rules:
o Indicate opportunities for future research, as long as you haven't already done
Recommendations
(Recommendations are based on the results of your research and indicate the
