Science Skills: Observing Communicating

You Will Need:


Hot water and mug

Heat Flow
1. Put hot water in a mug. Be careful when
experimenting with hot water.
2. Place all object in the mug for setup
Activity 20 mins 3. After one minute, drain the water in the mug and
get the objects using a tong.
4. Touch each object and record your observation in
a tabular form.

What happen to the tong after putting it into the hot


water? Mug?
Why the tong and the mug become hot?
Can you give materials where heat travel?

What is Conductor?
Can you give materials that are heat conductors?

Your mother is cooking adobo and you observed that the


handle of the pan that she is using is made of metal.

How would you help your mother to protect her hands


from the heat?
