Invitation for Bids (IFB)

Re: COMPREHENSIVE FIRE FIGHTING AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEM LAYOUT & SCOPE

Dear Sir/ Madam,

The Employer invite bids for the provision of comprehensive layouts and scopes of work for fire
protection and fire suppression systems for buildings and equipment at Grindrod's sites in Maputo.
Grindrod has 3 (three) sites to be covered:

• TCM - Matola Port

• GML - Maputo Port
• MCTL - Maputo Port
The proposals must include the firefighting/suppression system in the following:
✓ Buildings
✓ Parking areas
✓ Fuel stations
✓ PT's
✓ Locomotives
✓ Machines
✓ Mobile Equipment
and other infrastructures as agreed and awarded in the contract between the parties.
Kindly observe and comply with the following:

Attendees for the site visit are to note the following additional points:

❖ The site visit will be restricted to only 2 members per participating company.
❖ Attendees will not be allowed to take photos without pre-authorisation by MPDC. TCM
will facilitate the authorisation process but require tenderers to submit completed
“permission to use a camera in the Port forms by 12H00 on, 04 December 2023”.
Grindrod is an ISO and ISPS certified port terminal, therefore:
❖ All expatriates must hold a business visa or DIRE to have access to come into TCM.
❖ Visitors who haven’t had induction yet need to arrive 30 minutes before the meeting as
to first go through an induction at HSE department and are therefore requested to bring
their own full PPE (safety boots, helmet, trousers with reflective stipes and reflective
vest).
