ENGAGE Motivation: Your father brought home a pizza pie,


(5 mins) and you are 4 in the house. What will you do with
the pizza pie so that everybody could have a share
of it? Why?

One day, father brought home a family pizza pie. His wife and
two children were so happy with it. If the four of them are
about to receive an equal share, into how many part should the
pizza pie be divided?
a. What did father bought?
b. If the four of them will eat the pizza, how many part
should the pie divided?

The problem mentioned in the story is, how should we
divide the pizza into four equal parts.

Each of the equal part is called one-


fourth. One-fourth can be written as ¼.
