Ananda Marga - Yoga Wellness Center

ONE MONTH TRAINING 2020

- FIRST LEVEL -
From Feb 24 to March 25 (30 days)

SOME INITIAL NOTES

Trainees need no previous medical experience, and need not make any commitment whether they will use the
knowledge gained through the training to eventually begin a permanent program, or just make short-term
programs, or simply help their friends and family. Nevertheless, you may want to know --

If you will eventually want to open a permanent center, it is a 4-stage process:

This First Level Training, which enables a graduate to progressively gain the capacity to offer the next 3
programs:
Weekend Yoga Detox Retreats;
Longer Yoga Detox Retreats, e.g. 5 to 12-day programs;
Permanent Yoga Wellness Center

There are other long-term options possible besides aiming at opening a permanent center. For example, the aim
may be:

A Yoga Wellness coaching program

An online Yoga Lifestyle program
An outpatient care center offering any combination of Yoga Wellness elements

If you aim at any of the above programs, in the beginning if only one or two persons from your place complete the
First Level Training, it is quite adequate to gradually build toward creating the team you need – with the help we
are happy to give.

Of course, for your long-term programs in the future, you will need at least one part-time or full-time staff who has
a professional medical background, or at least has done deep intensive study – this need will come later.

We provide separate training directly in your field to such staff in diagnosis/prescription. We also give on-going
training according to need in cooking, therapy and administration.

Advanced training is usually given on a non-profit basis.

For legal reasons, in general we do not use the word “medical” in describing our programs, unless a legally
recognized medical doctor is on staff. Rather, we commonly refer to our programs with such words as “Yoga
Detox”.

The First Level Training in Cebu, Philippines is limited to about 14 persons.

So please contact us immediately if you or someone you know may be interested.

V. TRAVEL

For most countries’ passports you get a 30-day, free, automatic visa at the airport (ask us for list of
countries). You need to show return or on-going ticket. If you fly in and out exactly on our specified
arrival & departure dates, it’s exactly 30 days, no extension needed. If you’ll be here longer, you will
need to get one extension; it is quick and costs about $75. If you want to stay longer it may be cheaper
and more efficient if you get a 2-month visa in the Philippines embassy of your own country.

Cebu International Airport is only 20 minutes’ drive from Yoga Wellness Center (more during rush
hour).

There are 13 international airlines which fly directly into Cebu (Mactan) International Airport: Cebu
Pacific Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Singapore Airlines (local name: Silk Airlines), Air Asia, Tiger Air,
Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong), Korean Air (via Korea), Asiana Airlines (via Korea), ANA (via Japan),
Emirates, EVA, Scoot, China Eastern.

Though it is definitely more convenient to fly direct to Cebu, there are also many airlines which fly into
Manila International Airport, and from there you can book in advance a one-hour flight to Cebu (but be
careful if incoming flight is late). We may be able to give more suggestions of airlines/routes if needed.

When we know on which flight you are coming, we will arrange for you to be fetched at the airport free
of charge. We will have a signboard saying “Ananda Marga Yoga Wellness Center”. Generally, there
should be no need to change money in the airport, as we can get you a better rate at a currency
exchange place in the city.

VI. PLEASE BRING...

Non-native English speakers should bring dictionary (digital on laptop or on cellphone is best).
1-liter or larger water bottle
Notebook
Swim wear, sport shoes, sun-hat
Your enthusiasm and desire to learn!
