Concepcion National High School is one of the three public Secondary Schools in the District
of Malitbog, and one of the schools belonging to small schools category in the Division of Southern
Leyte. But big or small, it is a common fact across all schools that sports does not just develop the
physical attributes of the students, it also hones and builds discipline, positive outlook, and the sense
of responsibility, among others. Likewise, it helps the students veer away from the perils of drug
addiction and other vices. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic, the students experienced the
temporary departure of sports and other physical activities, hence putting sports development at
momentary halt.
But with the government finally allowing back sports activities and the likes, the school, in its
effort to re-ignite the students’ desire to engage into sports imbued with good moral values, has also
recognized the importance of developing and maintaining sound mental health among learners
through sports.
Unfortunately, with Odette devastating the entire province sometime a year ago, the school
has ran out of resources to back-up this project. There is a need of financial support from external
stakeholders to provide sports facilities and equipment.
Due to this, we come up to an idea of putting-up sports facilities and equipment so the school
can fully run and execute its PROJECT SHATS-TAG ( Students’ Holistic Advancement Through
Sports )
The key changes in my school I want to see as a result of the Three Acts of Goodness
Project implementation:
Provision of sports facilities and equipment.
Gradual and continuous holistic advancement and development of students through sports.
Show transformation of learners in their actions, thoughts and attitudes like making actions that
create harmony between self and others, cultivating a culture of discipline, responsibility and
fellowship that strengthens relationships that emanate wisdom, compassion and loving-kindness.
IV. Beneficiary of project: Who are the participants of the project? How many
participants will be involved?
The beneficiary of the project will be the 301 learners of Concepcion National High School. The
implementation and outcome of this project will not only benefit the school but also the community where
the school is located.
